Mother Poppo and Lore Confusion

According to the OJ lore, Tomomo created Poppos (and Kai)...

So is Tomomo a liar and Mother Poppo is the true creator of Poppos, with Tomomo only creating Kai? Did Tomomo create Mother Poppo so she can create Poppos? Or is Mother Poppo Tomomo's first creation?

I don't think it's been explained how Ellie and Lulu's story fits with the "main" plot yet. It could very well be the past, the future, or happening concurrently in an alternate universe. I lean towards the alternate universe if you take the presence of familiar faces as shopkeepers at face value.

poppo mother isn't the mother of poppos, she's just ellie's mom. she refers to the mousses in the treasure tails cutscenes as "imitations" and not children. she's also implied to be poppo *in the future* as far as i can see, as her voice lines reference that she "used to be young"
regardless of either of those things though, season 2 might just be an alternate universe anyway, since it seems to have been started by mio who could be the creator of THAT world like how tomomo created 100oj

I went to the wiki to refresh my memory of the end of that old event and yeah, that's the most likely scenario unless they got some more unexpected plot turn planned.

orange_juice seems to not be making games anymore and they wanted to tell a new story without having to make one. im just looking forward to the ending now because it seems like its wrapping up

Poppo is clearly an eldritch god who orchestrated her own creation through Tomomo. The clues were already there with the reveal that Poppo was dreaming the whole thing in Kai's ending.

From the DLC release of Older Kai back in Jan 24th and events.... Turns out Mother Poppo is that same Gremlin Poppo but older (Meaning time has passed), Mother of Ellie is Mother Poppo and the Father of Ellie is Kai... meaning Kai married or went with Poppo and made her Mother Poppo
