Retire this fishing event please

Please retire it so we can buy the costumes at the shop, it is such a boring and bad event. or lower the points needed. 3k is just too many points or let the arcade games count towards the point at the very least.

gotta agree cause its the third rerun of the event. rule of thumb should be, if an event isn't significant and is reran 3 times, it should finally be retired and put in the shop.

It is also that they literly didn't add anything new either like a watty skin (like a pufferfish skin or so) would be perfect for this event (doesnt make it less boring considering you still need to wait 10 turns!). I just really hope this is the last time this event pops up so we can buy the rewards in the store instead of doing the long grind of a boring minigame.

That and I just hope more events get retired in general. I don't mind a grind but the same events have been going on for a pretty long time now. So far in terms of events ran, we've had:

    
• Three runs of School Crashers
      
• a whopping four runs of Chocolate for the Sweet Gods
      
• two runs of Beware Pigformation
      
• our third run of master anglers (currently)
      
• third run of Summer Games
      
• second run of Pool Party
      
• second run of Beach Party (it actually got retired, i think!)
      
• third run of Santa Scramble
      
• third run of Scramble!! for an xmas miracle!
      
• only one runs of Shroom Zoom, Bounter Hunters, Bounter Hungers, Clash of Cakes, and Tricked Out
      
• second run of Operation Halloween
      
• second run of Trick and Treat

it would be nice to see the retired section get filled up pretty quickly. would it really be hard in the campaign to add an extra campaign option for retired events exclusively, and beating it on extreme or original unlocked stuff to buy in the shop. maybe a short series of 3 levels per event retired?

I 100% agree whit this there are alot of old events and i just think it is time for some new ones, gives people also more reasons to save up stars in case they didnt do said events and or are missing some things.

i gotta wonder if there will really be anything new this year. its kinda worrying how suddenly an event we would usually have a whole month dedicated to now is cut down to two weeks, and all of a sudden for the first time in... 5-7 years? we've gotten those mini events added to get people motivated to play more.

It's really not as bad as you're making it seem lmao, it's literally the normal game mode with a fishing game every 10 chapters. You'll play the normal game mode anyway, the rules/win conditions haven't changed, so why complain about getting some rewards on the way? and about the skins, the thing is if everyone is able to get them at any time they want (through retired events), they're no longer special and it'll ruin their value, which is why all of these unlockables are behind events.

yeah because waiting 10 turn and spam clicking to fish make the skins soooo valuebel -_-, if this was the popo event i would agree whit this, tho this is just another counter event and these types of event could easely be retired after 3-4 runs.

ALL games do this with short limited time events, fun or not, it's an incentive for people to play. I say enjoy it while it's here because it's only here for 2 weeks or; on the other hand, don't worry about/critique it, it's only here for 2 weeks.

its less the fact that it's here and more the fact that we've seen this event pretty frequently, without any substantial new content. for new players, yeah it's an incentive to play. for those of us that were around when it first aired, you know, three years ago, there's nothing for us to really do with it.

A friend of mine who keeps track pretty closely claims no new events this year at all. Some new content, sure, but it's been pretty sparse this year. Not a lot for veterans to do outside of pin farming.

I miss the excitement I had 8 years ago when I bought this game... I just can´t find a good reason to come back to play these days.
