Do that and play as Tomomo and you will make short work of it. If you don't have Tomomo, use Yuki or use the shop purple crate to get Tomomo.
I have every character purchased and unlocked but even trying with Tomomo and doing that card strategy I just keep getting destroyed by RNG. I tried many times today then decided to just play online
So its not skill, but it's persistence.
Of course, you could cheat a little and give yourself a better dice with better odds...
---
-Attain and use Tomomo in some way. (100-orange purple warp tile in store. Or do all the non-DLC campaigns on Casual, then the extra campaigns, then the extra scenario "Tomomo Hell", and she's yours.)
-Though... In a rare few campaign scenarios, you may want to use others (like Mio to cheese the troll, since it's basically unbeatable in combat there).
-Be sure to put a brick or something heavy on CTRL+Shift. The hands really wear out after 10+ minutes of keeping pressure on it.
-I find it helps to pack cards beneficial to long-term survival. Pudding, Rbits, etc. It might help to fill the gaps with expensive do-nothing cards, too. Maybe even an Magnum or Accel to ensure overkill.
-Overkill is a MUST. If your minimum roll cannot guarantee a kill, it WILL NOT kill. They always roll just high enough to survive.
-Avoid petty combat. If there's nothing to gain, don't bother, your odds are unfavourable even vs a -1 ATK unit. Only go for units when you must or if it is a great oppertunity, and ideally with backup firepower. (Thankfully, the CPU isn't aware of it's hideously overpowered rolls, and merely looks at your stats. The OP Tomomo stats scare them off from fighting you, ussually.)
-Considering the CPU does not know how to win effeciently, consider it a race. They might have RNG on their side, but if you're skillful in normaing 5 times as fast as possible, your odds to win should be alright. Going stars should be the quickest and safest route.

Maybe take a look if you're interested. 'x3
Because honestly the rolls are hot garbage and you'll end up with someone severely wounded just barely defending or evading and counter with a max roll.
"Oh it's just 4 attack from the +2 char I can clearly defend it" 1
There's just way too much of the game baiting you into thinking you have a chance and then killing you instead of just throwing 7s at you. And that's even more salt than just getting 7gulled over and over.
Depending on maps(Midnight Kemonomimi in extra scenarios being prime example) Mio is a good option using party time to get everyone in range in a spot where they can't outrun you, and hit them all with Inferno.
Poppo is realiably good at dealing with warp maps yes.
And I found decent success using Sham, although bizarrely used her on Mio's Dark Citadel and inspite of the 9999 HP Mio it worked out.
