I'm just curious. Kiriko's not ACTUALLY gonna sound like Sakura Miko, is she? Given her demeanor, body language and overall personality, she never struck as someone having such a sweet and high-pitched voice. Given she's 23, I was expecting a more mature, slightly "Ara ara"-esque voice.

But hey, not my decision to make. I guess I'll decide whether or not to leave her voice on when we actually get clips of her voice in action.

Edit: Copying from one of my later posts. I would also like to be clear that I'm not bashing on the VA for her work here. She clearly has a passionate fanbase and does great work. I'm more so curious about who did the casting for the voice, and picked her for the job.

I'm pretty confident that she'll have a fitting voice. The ones we have received up to this point have all been decent to great, and I've yet to feel like someone has been miscast. Sakura Miko might have a much larger range than her channel shows.

That being said, I understand your concern. Kiriko has been my most anticipated for a long time now and I picture her voice the same as you have described. Here's hoping!

I really hope you're right, especially about that range part. I may have panicked prematurely given there's not much else I can dig up in terms of anything else this person has done in terms of voicing.

Her licence to operate seems highly questionable already, so yeah, she probably won't have anything against a little Cast Off to distract her male opponents either, heh.

Hm, i should be more excited for this voicepack since Kiriko ended up being my most-played, but eh... Never was hugely picky on the voice acting/quality, as long as it isn't atrocious.
Oh well, more voices = more lore, atleast. So that's always fun, the lore between characters and their interactions (wonder what Kiriko says/does that freaks Yuki out so much?).

I think it's a very odd, yet still oddly fitting casting.

Miko's VA does have some (not that much, but some) range but I do think it is going to utimately sound like her. It could prove to be divisive for sure, but I feel it ultimately should satisfy those that understand what Kiriko's intended character is meant to be if she managed to play to her strengths in the recording. The past half year or so has been... interesting for her. There's a certain degree of arrogance combined with somewhat excessive aggression to her demeanor these days, which lines up with what people likely should expect, even if it's a far cry from the expected tone.
