all the characters and cards are good

suguhime costume dlc isn't as good but you can still get it if you like how they look

Only the breaker pack has campaigns for the included characters.

The mixed pack and acceleration packs give you extra cards, so you might want to pick up those, so you have more options.

As for the character DLCs I'd say either play a few games and see if you see any you like, then get those.

Another option is to buy all the DLCs, but that's not required to enjoy the game

Are the mixed pack and acceleration pack have a same card?

they are different card packs and do not share any cards

I recommend to first play without any DLCs to see if the game is something you would enjoy. IMO aside from the Breaker Pack, it's only worth getting them if you intend to play the multiplayer mode for more than just a few matches.

Lastly, in-game we can buy a card set with star, what it for? can't we get a DLC card from it?

I enjoyed the game and thanks for the information, maybe i'll play the multiplayer often.

the vanilla card packs will give you vanilla cards, you need to buy the dlc card packs in order to get dlc cards

Different characters have different playstyles, and they tend to be very balanced, no DLC is pay2win. If you play a bit, you'll learn how the game works, and you'll be able to understand the different strategies from different characters, so you can choose the DLC characters you want to buy.

But the DLC packs are pretty cheap and get on sale often, not to mention that 100%OJ is a great game, worth many hours of fun (specially in online matches), so I do recommend buying all DLC (except sugu/hime costume dlc) if you can.

Sure worth it

Yes, I do think all the DLC (aside from the latest one maybe, which only contains costumes rather than actual new characters) is worth it if you enjoy the game and want more variety.
However, considering that most of the DLC characters are more complex than the vanilla ones and bring many completely new playstyles to the table, you may find buying all of them at once overwhelming, especially if you haven't gotten used to the in-game mechanics and deck building yet.
Personally, I'd recommend to first get used to the vanilla cast (which consists of 12 characters, not counting the playable versions of the NPCs and bosses) and how they differ from each other before buying the character DLCs.

The card packs are totally worth it, but you can do without characters that don't seem interesting to you. My favorite characters are mostly base-game. It's nice to have, though.

I've bought all the DLC, including the games which give extra characters. I've played 200% Mixed Juice like twice, and the other games not at all.

Still totally worth it, just for the extra characters.

Just wait for a sale and pick up all the DLC you can carry. They cost about a buck apiece when on sale.
