A mode that plays on zombie-infection might be fun too, with like "Werewolves and Bunnies." Like have the match start with everyone being the bunny character except one random person is the wolf. Every person who gets KOed as a bunny respawns as a wolf.
The match ends when only one bunny is left or time runs out. Then in the next round, the last bunny standing is the wolf.
You would get points for the time you stayed alive as a bunny. You would get bonus points for being the last bunny standing, and you would get points for taking out bunnies as a wolf. At then end, the ranking would be based on high score.
Another could be a special first person game mode which might take a lot of work but would be cool to see the game in first person in conquest or in a team deathmatch.
Maybe a defense mode or horde survival mode.
If done well, they can be fun in their own right as well as hone players' skills for PvP. On the simple side, challenges such as obstacle courses, sniper duels, and such. On the complex side, comp. stomp or full AI matches. Also quite nice for those of us who don't always have a stable internet connection.
They can also be used to test new mechanics or reworks before throwing them into full PvP. Thinking about adding vehicles, arena shooter elements, etc.? See how players use them in a environment where an unbalanced element isn't too big a problem.
- A "practice mode" vs bots. Essentially a multiplayer match but you're the only human player. Besides some casual relaxation, it can also offer more PvP-oriented players a chance to try out strategies and equipment sets. A difficulty slider would be interesting as well, making bots either pushovers or absolute killing machines, and everything in between.
- A classic in co-op modes is a "horde mode". It's you and your squad holding position against an ever-growing army of mooks and special enemies.
- In the original Modern Warfare 2 there were "spec ops", some small combat situations based on locations and situations from the campaign. You could tackle them solo or with a friend. Of course, this would be a rather complex project for an indie team...
- Have you ever considered "PvPvE"? For example, in Conquest mode, the 20 human players in a team have a number of mooks, like minions in League of Legends. The move in squads, trying to attack control points or holding position. They're weaker than Valiants, and a human player will usually have the upper hand in 1v1 or 1v2 against them. The Neutral Item could also boost these mooks by making them faster or tougher.
It would be better if the game came out at least in early access. I would like to finally play a game for anthropomorphic animals
Also would be nice to tease upcoming stuff in-game in the training map, for instance 👀
2. King of the Hill
3. Some type of oddball mode
4. Capture the flag
5. Gun game
6. Single-player campaign mode with all the character's stories
7. It's like campaign mode but it's like a raid type of mode requiring teammates of at least 3 players.
a PvE mode in a similar style to Extinction from COD Ghosts would be cool rather than an infected / zombies mode
Might have to cordon of the map a tad or it'd be very difficult though XD
