Access denied, unable to access steam servers.

I log in and get a message saying "access denied, unable to connect to steam servers." Anyone having this problem??????????????

Access Denied means something is blocking access to a file another program needs on your drive; whether it be a permissions issue or a third program using the file.

AKA Turn off your cruddy anti-virus.

I had exact same issue. Just keep on restarting game and at some point it will start.
It's actually surprising how many server issues this game has... This didn't happen during the public beta test...

*It's not a server issue*

Access Denied is always a disk/file issue, unless the server itself is denying you; which would result in a different message.

never had this problem before and no, i'm not turning off my anti virus

Any Antivirus block your connection.. you need configure game directory with antivirus

well it works now so it wasn't the antivirus
