PS-29 (Bizon) or SMG5 (MP5)?
As a Uly main, I thought I'd strike up a casual debate on two smgs I like using. I like both guns, and I do have a pretty good set of attachments for the Bizon. As for the MP5 I'm still wondering what attachments to use for it. Despite that I still like the gun. Though I do want a second opinion from other players to see what they use and what attachments they use for said weapons. I know multiple characters can use these so I'm open for discussion.

I haven't seen much demand for these two submachine guns. I'm surprised that anyone likes the SMG5 . Still, these are the attachments I use:

PS-29

  • Sighting Device - NK Reflex Scope
  • Muzzle - Kinetic Energy Suppressor
  • Attachment - Tactical Laser Pointer
  • Ammo - Default Mag

SMG5

  • Sighting Device - Mini Red Dot Sight or Iron Sight
  • Muzzle - Destroyer Silencer
  • Attachment - Tactical Laser Pointer
  • Ammo - Extended Mag

I prefer the HK MP5 a lot over the PP-19 Bizon.

The MP5 is much easier to control (MP5: 43 vs PP-19: 31)
The PP-19 has the super big magazine of 64 bullets going for it, but it's not the beast mode weapon like in BF20242 e.g.

I run following setups:

MP5

Sighting Device - Mini Red Dot Sight
Muzzle - Destroyed Silencer
Attachment - Tactical Laser Pointer
Ammo - Extended Mag

PP-19

Sighting Device - Mini Red Dot Sight
Muzzle - Heavy Supressor
Attachment - Tactical Laser Pointer
Ammo - Default Mag

Also don't sleep on the MAC-10, it's one of the few weapons that allow you to outdps even the pesky PK using bears and pandas at close range at least. You kinda need the drum magazine for it to properly work though.

MAC-10

Sighting Device - Mini Red Dot Sight
Muzzle - Light Silencer or Heavy Supressor
Attachment - Tactical Laser Pointer
Ammo - Extended Mag

And if you like SMGs in general you should consider trying the medics. The PPSch-41 is the best SMG by far. Super huge drum magazine of 70 bullets and control: 51. It is super strong.

PPSch-41

Sighting Device - Mini Red Dot Sight
Muzzle - empty
Attachment - Tactical Laser Pointer
Ammo - Extended Drum

For the MP5, I roll with a Mini Red Dot, the extended mag, the S20 Silencer and the short grip and push with it. Lowering the RoF with the Destroyer's a mistake imo.

Hmm, preference. I think the Destroyed Silencer is a crazy powerful muzzle attachment. I only don't use it one weapons that have very high vertical recoil like the AK-47 or the PP-19 e.g.

+ 50% minimap stealth
Flat out + 20m effective range
+ 20% bullet velocity

I'll gladly trade that for 10% lower rpm.

Do you guys ads, or hipfire alot? I found the p90 worked better for me with hipfiring it with the mini red dot, than aiming. Just curious..

I always start hipfiring and switch into aiming, basically just hit both mouse buttons at the same time.

At mid range i wait for the sight to "come up".

Mini Red Dot Sight enhances accuracy as long as you move, so doesn't matter hipfire or ads in my experience.
Might have been my ping, or luck, but something about the bizon's fire rate makes it harder to land hits on moving targets. I prefer the MP5 with the mini red dot, destroyer silencer, extended mag, and angled foregrip

Can't compare the SMG5 to PS-29 but i can say that I find the SMG5 to be on par or slightly better than most of the ARs in close to mid range shooting while using;
Mini Red Dot
Extended Mag
Destroyer Silencer
Tactical Laser Pointer

If you want to melt any character close range, I've discovered the M-10 can do just that. Just slap an extended mag on it and blast away.
I think I'm starting to see a pattern with some of these attachment combos. Maybe I should try some of these out for myself and see how they do

Actually yeah I probably should have mentioned that. Most of the time I'm aiming when I play

If you're shooting at ranges you think you need that velocity/range you're probably using the wrong tool kit with an MP5.

MP5 is way easier to control, but I think it has less damage, that said, doing a lot of damage to the wall behind your target adds up to less overall :]
THere's zero reason to use the PS-29 or SMG5 over the other three SMGs. The PS-29's accuracy is so garbage in both ADS and hipfire modes, if sustained such that the slight damage boost doesn't counter such wild bullet spread. Neither does the lowest RPM help it.

The MP5 does full damage at <20m.
At ~20m, the MP5 loses a bit more than 20% of it's damage per shot.
The destroyer silencer lets the MP5 do the damage it does at <20m out to ~30m, essentially increasing the damage per bullet from 20-30m (close to 40m actually) by over 20% in exchange for 10% less fire rate.
With how quickly many guns start losing damage, and how much damage they lose at those thresholds, it's actually a very good muzzle attachment to the point they removed it from the M88 shotgun for likely being too strong (it used to be capable of doing ~150hp of damage with 20 gauge at ~30m with it)

Mathing it out, it looks like it's a wash amusingly if you're talking at damage minimums. At close ranges the S-20 will win out more often both being more controllable and at a higher RoF. You end up with roughly the same numbers at the outliers. Whichever you prefer for control at that point. I still think I'll take more shots on target since the velocity's already high though.
