Wild Assault Early Access FAQ
Hello Wild Ones!

The long-awaited April 11th is finally here! We sincerely welcome you to join the Wild Assault Early Access ride!

Staying true to our commitment of co-creating with our players, Wild Assault has undergone four rounds of public testing since its initial reveal on January 18th, 2024. During this time, we’ve collected and analyzed tens of thousands of pieces of player feedback, carefully listening to your suggestions and enthusiasm. Through our dev logs, we’ve maintained close interaction and collaboration with you all. Your input has significantly shaped the game in many aspects.

We’re pleased to see that this game development model has been well-received. Since the conclusion of Wild Assault Weekly, we’ve often been asked: “When will you release the next episode?” We’re also exploring better ways to communicate with our players. The Early Access version marks a new beginning for Wild Assault. To express our gratitude for your continuous support, we’ll continue to maintain a steady update schedule and remain open in our communication with you.

We’d like to take this opportunity to share our upcoming update plans and address some of the questions that have been on your minds.

1. What's Next

1.1 Update Plans

1.1.1 Hotfixes

After releasing the Early Access version, we will address feedback through small hotfixes. While these updates will be smaller in scale compared to previous ones, they will allow us to quickly fix bugs and improve content based on community feedback, thereby positively impacting the game’s overall polish. While prioritizing critical issues that affect the gameplay experience, we will also gradually meet your diverse needs.

1.1.2 Feedback Channels

If you encounter bugs, hacking, or other issues that severely impact your gaming experience, you can submit feedback through the in-game feedback portal. We will promptly identify and resolve these issues. Thank you for your active feedback and support for the game.

We also plan to release dev logs on a regular basis to address the key concerns raised by the community. To ensure the steady advancement of Wild Assault’s development, we need to thoroughly discuss and validate all types of feedback before jumping to conclusions. This is why we believe dev logs are still the best way to communicate with you about the things you care about. We appreciate your patience and understanding, as this more deliberate communication approach will lead to more effective problem-solving.

Wild Assault Early Access FAQ

2.1 Can you introduce the pricing?

We are offering two versions: the Standard Edition and the Supporter Edition. The Standard Edition is priced at $15 (regional pricing may apply). Additionally, we have introduced a Supporter Edition this time, which includes a discounted bundle for the Supporter DLC (of course, if you purchase the base game first, you can still buy the DLC later at the discounted bundle price).

2.2 What’s in the Battle Pass?

The basic Battle Pass is free for players with access to Wild Assault Early Access. It includes the new Valiant character Erwin, multiple new weapons, and cosmetic items.
The premium Battle Pass can be unlocked by spending a certain amount of Beast Coins. It includes the "Erwin - Field Medic Commander" cosmetics, new weapon cosmetics, and a Beast Coins reward.

2.3 Will you paywall the Valiants or weapons in the future?

No. We guarantee you that all Valiants and weapons will be unlockable through free methods.

2.4 Will there be a creator program?

We're working on it. We will definitely keep you posted on our periodic creator program events.

3. Technical Troubleshooting

3.1 Download & Install

Q: How do I download Wild Assault? Can I still use the client from the previous test?

A: The Wild Assault Early Access introduces a new game client, which is purchasable on Steam. Please uninstall all previously installed Wild Assault game clients (playtest or demo) to avoid unexpected game launch issues.

Q: What should I do if the installation fails?

A: Please make sure your device has enough storage space. At least 20GB of free space is required for the demo build.

3.2 Tech Issues

Q: Do I need latency booster apps for this test?

A: The early access battle servers are located in Asia (Singapore), the United States (Northern Virginia), Europe (Frankfurt), and South America (São Paulo). Feel free to try some of the ping boosters based on your location.

Q: I encountered a DirectX 12 error when launching the game. How can I resolve it?

A: If you’re experiencing a DirectX 12 error when launching the game, we recommend checking the following:
  1. Update your graphics driver. Visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer to download the latest driver, or use the Nvidia App to update automatically. Ensure your graphics driver is up to date.
  2. Update your Windows OS. Make sure your Windows 10 64-bit OS is updated to version 1909 or later. This update is crucial for DirectX 12 support. We recommend updating to version 21H1 or later.
  3. Check the minimum graphics card requirements. Verify if your graphics card meets the minimum requirements: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, AMD Radeon RX 560, or Intel ARC A380.
  4. If you have other issues, feel free to join our official Discord for assistance: https://discord.gg/WildAssault

Q: What should I do if the game fails to launch or if I encounter other issues?

A: If your system meets the requirements, please try updating your graphics drivers, clearing memory or freeing up disk space. If the game still won’t launch, right-click on the game in your Steam library, go to Properties, and verify the integrity of the game files. Q: What should I do if I encounter low frame rates or stuttering?

A1:
  • If you're experiencing low frame rates, open the operating system's Task Manager to check the CPU and GPU usage.
  • If the GPU usage is consistently high, nearing 100%, try lowering the graphics settings to improve the game's frame rate. For example, switch to medium or lower quality, reduce the game resolution, and lower the rendering quality to avoid low frame rates due to insufficient GPU performance.
  • If the CPU usage is high, you can improve the frame rate by lowering vegetation density, shadow quality, visual distance, and disabling vertical sync.
  • Additionally, you can limit the frame rate cap to a stable 30 or 60 FPS for a smoother gaming experience.
A2: Try the following solutions
  • It’s recommended to install the game on a SSD to significantly enhance gameplay smoothness.
  • Ensure that your computer has at least 20GB of free memory available to avoid high memory usage that may cause stuttering.
  • Set the power plan in the Control Panel to "High Performance." For laptops, it's advised to run the game while plugged in, ensuring proper device cooling.
  • Close unnecessary background programs and services to free up more system resources for the game.
  • Update your graphics drivers to ensure they are the latest, which can improve game performance and avoid compatibility issues.
