how to start a game using a beyond earth save game

i was checking the achievements of this game, i found one that unlocks when you start a game using a beyond earth save game

Start playing a game in Beyond Earth. Then use the Play in Starships button (make sure to be logged into the 2k thing) then when you load up starships there should be a load from beyond earth button at the bottom under new game.

I tried this but my Play in Starships button is always black and you can't click on it? Any suggestions?

try this option when your beyond earth game is in end game

Figured it out. When you load the game and you are looking at the "single player/multi player/mod" buttons.... look in the bottom right hand corner at the 2k symbol....turns out that is a f*ing button. Click it to log in or create new 2k account.....

All the instructions I've seen mention that you need to be logged in to My2K. If you didn't know what that meant, you could just ask that specific question.

SamBC....please tell me you really don't see the connection between asking how to start a game using a beyond earth save and mentioning HOW TO LOG INTO My2K....
That is like saying you don't see the connection in telling people how to drive and mentioning they need a car...or gas in the tank...or what a clutch is...you know...you just press the gas pedal...its so obvious...just press the gas pedal to go forward...duh right? Except why would someone be asking how to drive if they already knew how to drive...brilliant.

I think its quite a crappy move that they force you to buy another game to finish all archievements of this game...

If you don't know how to log in to your 2k account ask for help first, don't just randomly flip ♥♥♥♥ & act like it's a big deal. So try to analyze the best method to getting help next time, ok?

so I started a duel battle with one opponent, beat the opponent thru domination, did a quick save, and then tried to save game to go into starships, but no go, it never saved. I then completely destroyed the one opponent, thinking that might help, and did another quick save. now I have no enemies in my diplomacy list.

Being signed into 2K isn't a problem, but is domination a bad option to reach end-game? Do I need more opponents. Do you have to win the game, or does anyone winning then allow you to save game for Starships?

appearantly its broken for everyone. No one is able to get this achievement at the moment and all your old unlocks between the two games for the moment is broken. Looking at astats, its look like its been broken for the last 2 weeks.
