Ross room code?! (Spoilers maybe)

In Tau Station, there are two locked rooms, but only one (infirmary) is required to open in order to advance in the game. However, I got curious to see what's in Ross' room, so I decided to open that one first. It asked for a password and I entered 0451 just for fun, since this is probably the most used keypad code in quite a number of similar games. This transferred to 2784 (the keys which are positioned one row above the ones I entered) and – boom – it unlocked...
Now I'm wondering if this was just a lucky guess, so I'd like to hear about your experiences to figure if one could just enter anything to unlock the room!

It's like in Omicron, the password just appears, and we just click OK.

Okay thanks. Seems I entered the numbers just in the same rhythm as it was entered automatically so I was under the impression I did it myself lol

I could be wrong but during that level all that time your hear a voice speaking to you. I believe it is a sentient Wua monster with the mind of Ross. For some reason you can't see him only catch glimpses of him at a time so its like he's haunting you. I believe he typed it in you just dont see it.

Yes it was ross who helped in that way... i think he was the psychologist/Psychiatrist so he was the only one to somehow come out of the grips of WAU even after being converted into a monster and was trying to help simon.. or he being a Psychologist had nothing to do with what he was able to do?! thoughts?

I think the treatment he received within a containment had some effect on his transformation. It's never explained, but he certainly isn't one of the random peeps gone wrong monsters.
