Also for the stutter problems, i remember a machine of pics (tho was not made by frictional) had a SOUND issue with the channels, that caused stutter, lowering sound channels or something improved the games stutter.
If people report any performance improvement down the road, I will buy the game again.
Can you please talk further? In the hpl.log file, there are lots of audio errors and they may contribute to the negative performance. How was this fixed in that other game sir?
?
"Hopefully today there will be a patch that might help further improve performance."
Generic, what are your specs?

Borderless isn't working properly, screen tearing is present with vsync turned off.
vsync on + post effects causes frame drops in specific areas.
vsync off + post effects on has no issues, aside from insane screen tear.
vsync on + post effects off has no issues.
vsync on + post effects @900p has no issues.
In short there seems to be a problem with resolution, or res and post effects. As I said, 1080p with post effects and vsync off gives me a smooth experience, but insane screen tear. Borderless isn't doing what Borderless should be doing.
When vsync is causing issues you resort for borderless, and all Frictional games have always given me issues with vsync.
2500k, 270x, 8GB RAM.
I disabled the framerate cap in the config.. did this update change that? Didn't launch the game but the value is still false. To improve performance heavily just turn off antialiasing/SMAOO and lower shadows
Before when I set v-sync off and set it to my refresh rate, the game was capped at 60 fps which is why I removed the cap because my monitor was at 120hz.
Also a question which still has no answer to me, can we manually set a numerical framerate cap? IE: Can I set it to be capped at 160. My framerate is generally 116-180 but the variance?? is high because it doesn't feel 'smooth'
Lots of us are becoming stuck in the vessel after escaping the CURIE. The animation of the helper robot cuts through the door, and then the door makes the sound of exploding open - but it remains locked shut and it's impossible to escape. Saving/reloading doesn't fix it and it's impossible to proceed with the game.

EDIT: fixed by 23 Sept's update. For anyone still struggling with this issue, your game-save is no longer good (you need to load the previous checkpoint (the last of your CURIE saves, immediately below the now-corrupted DELTA save. The door will now open correctly.
Thanks for the fix, devs!
