SOMA

Can I run SOMA?
Intel dual core i5 @2.2ghz 8GB RAM Intel HD Integrated graphics 5000 Win 10.

Before you say no because of the integrated graphics card, I can run Amnesia TDD on high and AMFP on Medium.

Thanks

Directly from the store page:
"Additional Notes: Integrated Intel graphics are not supported. They should work (Intel HD 4000-series or better), but with issues."

Thank you, but I've already seen that.

"They should work" Ideally I'd like a definitive answer. Perhaps I'll try the FG forums.

Well I'm gonna say you might get it to run, but not great with issues.

Its just another way of saying it will work but its not officially supported, so if you encounter any graphical issues/glitches that might be game breaking, its not the developers responsibility to fix and they probably wouldn't since you are outside the given system requirements.

I think it is powerful enough to run the game no doubt and it might run the entire game without any issues at all. But if the engine engine has some modifications done that your Intel HD cannot handle maybe because it doesn't have the certain instructions needed and will cause weird graphical issues, then your Sol.

I have a 4690k running at stock, with an MSI GTX 970 stock OC settings, 16 gigs ram. Running at max settings there are def some strange issues going on from time to time for no reason it seems. Its not hitching or anything but frames dip into the 40's in undemanding areas. There is def some mouse lag here and mouse smoothing is turned ON by default, so do turn that off. The game does run smooth for the most part which means when the games frames tank then the choppiness becomes more noticable.

These issues should smooth out shortly after launch.

Also, the game is not capped at 60FPS as someone noted earlier. The games max FPS is 75 though. Whats weird is even if you only have a 60hz panel it will still allow you to selct the 75hz option.

Ignore him.. he's (one of) the guy(s) that posted about the stream that broke the NDA.
Just check his account, he doesn't even own Soma.
