Why do you think you're not smart? Anyways, the story and gameplay will not be for 12 year old CoD players, but you probably don't fit in that description. The game will most likely not hold your hand through the entire game, and you will probably have to do some thinking to understand everything, but if you don't understand something; there will always be explanations online.

You're talking to a cow.

And if that's like their previous games, the story will be told through books or notes you find scatered in different places (at least to set the background), and the events will probably speak for themselves.
As Faraone said, there will be a bit of not-so-explicit things to understand EVERYTHING, using your deductive skills, but I don't think the story will be hard to grasp.

I actually had a friend who played amnesia the dark descent and he couldn't get past a lot of the puzzles without extreme effort or looking it up on youtube. Not entirely sure why but I guess some people aren't too great at problem solving? :P

We're all idiots, since we will buy this after the fail Amnesia a Machine for Pigs! :D
This isn't made by the same people who made a machine for pigs.

These guys only did the original
If you like the matrix and understand it, this game is somewhere near that I believe.

Well that wasn't entirely Frictional's fault; The Chinese Room had a lot to do with it's failures and lucky for us they didn't lay a finger on SOMA ;)

If you compared A machine for pigs to the dark decent ...yea it was ♥♥♥♥ but i actually enjoyed them both. thats like saying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ super mario galaxy was gunna be like the first 3 for nes calm down. if you take it as its own game and not a comparison or sequel it was actually pretty cool

Anyone is smart enough to understand nearly anything if they care enough and take enough time.
