[Spoilers] Deleted Something, Does it Affect Me Later?
Slight spoiler warning, so please don't read if you haven't played yet.

So when looking through the legacy scans on Catherine's computer, I accidentally deleted Simon's scan. Thinking it wouldn't affect anything much, I decided to delete the rest too. But now that I've gotten past Theta (to the part where Catherine asks you to run an ARK simulation), the four possible scans are greyed out, presumably because I erased the data from before. I'm really curious what these will show, so should I go back and fix my mistake? Or is it not worth the hassle?

I never had that scenario......but I can't imagine the dev.'s would make it even possible to delete a crucial file, that you need later on in the game? At least I would hope not. Well, you would hope not. Good luck!

Welp so I decided to go back and undo what I did. But for those of you that are curious, it's not worth keeping the data if you accidentally deleted it (at least it's not worth it for this part). You can't do anything with it either way, it turns out. Thanks for the reply anyway, drain!

It doesn't change the game, it's more about making you think. If there is still a copy of the Simon brain scan on the computer, does that mean you are the 'real' Simon, or just a copy of a copy?

It also depends on what you imagine the consequences of your actions to be.

Spoilers, if you haven't finished the game.
If you leave the WAU without destroying it, and there's still a copy of Simon's scan in the system, then in theory there's nothing stopping the WAU from making more copies of Simon and inserting them into new bodies to wander around, given its aim of keeping the human race alive. Simon would probably hate that, from what he says during the game.

Does it make any difference to the game? No.
Does this matter to you? That's up to you to decide.

Haven't completed the game yet. I realize there's philosophical questions behind the decision, but I was just saying purely in terms of affecting gameplay, it didn't make a major difference.
