I can recommend CONARIUM. Very similar physics and gameplay mechanic as you asked. An intriguing Lovecraftian story although it lacks of horror elements.
In think these mechanics add so much to the "feeling real" of a game, it's a pity that it is still so uncommon... maybe for reasons some of you just stated.
When I think of some other games I really like - survival titles, or in general games where you need to search for loot - the experience would be so much more intense and immersive with a mechanic like this!
So I hope to see more games built with this great engine in the future.

Unfortunately "CRYOSTASIS" was a pretty much average game. Somehow it was very overrated back then. I remember it was boring, story and pacing was very slow.
"DON'T KNOCK TWICE" and "LAYERS OF FEAR". I remember I've played these games too but I didn't finished. They're waiting for me in my library yet I can easily recommend. Pretty good atmospheric horror games including similar mechanics for drawers, doors, etc...
