SOMA

This game is so underrated
I am glad it has good reviews, but I am sad that the devs did not earn more money with this masterpiece. I got this game on GOG but I am thinking about buying it here for the second time just to support them even more.

I am glad I am wrong then haha. Because I saw an artical, maybe a few months after the game's release that the game's sales have been disappointing. I guess that artical is completely irelevant now and probably wrong all along.

I rarely play a game to the very final moments because for me its all about exploration and not the glorious superboss fight at the end and being crowned saviour of the world.

But even if I wanted, I COULD NOT stop playing SOMA until the game told me its really, really REALLY the end now.

EDIT: Finished it 25th Septemper and I was blown away. Some stories can only be told via computer games because no one would take the risk of turning them into a high budget serial or movie. Even such gems as "Inception", "Moon" or "The Prestige" barely scratch the surface of what SOMA lets the player experience.

yeah, I was worried as well. the sales seemed slow at the beginning, especially when keeping in mind what a popular game amnesia has been.
I'm very glad that SOMA was a financial succees in the end and superhappy that frictional is able to make more amazing games.

Speaking of the future, are there any plans on a new game from them?

Too bad. Was hoping there were some details that i might have missed since SOMA came out 2 years ago.

it's an instant cult classic.

No need to sell billions of copies or get abused by the media to be a masterpiece.

I hope to hear some news from Frictional Games soon. We know they are working with 2 games. One game that should have the same style as SOMA, but the other game I dont know.
