Loading the ARK module at Theta.

I have been running the simulation of the loaded ARK module files for more than 2 real life hours now, and the procedure still hasn't finished. I tried pausing the process to see what would happpen but all it did was make Catherine tell me that I have to continue the process until it's complete so we/I (Simon) can run the diagnostics.

Is it really supposed to take this long?

- I mean, we're closing in on three hours straight now and I can't even leave the room to do some exploring since the doors are shut, all I can do is sit there and look at the loading screen hoping for the word 'DUMMY' to appear.

I would be really grateful for some advice about this. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Technically speaking the word 'DUMMY' could have appeared at some point because I fell asleep a while ago and just awoke a few minutes ago, but wouldn't the machine have stopped loading if that was the case?

I had the same issue, waited for real life three quarters an hour, thinking the process requires to complete. It actually is done as soon as you launch it, whatever the assets you upload. Just start it and go on with whatever next is to be done.

Hey, I figured it out.

If you click the 'minus' (subtract) button at the bottom of the screen the loading process starts going really, really slowly, and then you will see the word DUMMY appear at some point. You still have to be quick about pressing Pause Simulation, though, but at least this way you have a chance to make it fairly quickly.

Yay!...4 hours not really wasted after all. lol

I did try it out but it didn't work for me. Catherine kept saying "You have to wait for the word DUMMY to appear before you pause", and as it turns out she's right because I literally can't do anything but wait before that word has appeared.

Your tip was still helpful because it got me thinking and I started experienting a bit more. Thanks again. :)

Something must have changed since the last time I played but even if not and the memory serves poorly, the thing I know is that I also got stuck on that part due to lack of clear info on what in particular should I do, waiting for this whatever the ARK was doing to be finished.
