There does not have to be a sequel, with a good DLC I think we would all be well satisfied, for example, showing the station before the catastrophe, knowing characters that were consumed by the WAU, such as Terry Akers, of which we do not know their physical appearance before of its transformation.

Frictional is teasing announcement so details about new game will come really soon. I doubt it will be Soma 2 though. Game doesn't need sequel.

I feel like they have done a good job at setting up and ending this game. The conclusion is clear, there is no cliffhanger or sequel baiting. No need to force a sequel into it. Frictional has made many different games in completely different settings so they have proven to be capable of doing something completely new. I would rather see what they can come up with next.

I thought Simon killed the WAU in Alpha when he was told he carried the poison in him(from drinking it earlier) and transferred it to the main WAU organism. He was told to do this by the ghost that guided him in there.

How could you make a sequel anyway. This is a self-contained story. Anything more would spoil it. Just my opinion. I wish there could be another one but I don't think it's possible. It would be out by now if it were coming.

That sounds like a good idea. I think they could come up with a lot of interesting back story sort of stuff.
