Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel

SKILL TIER POST!
Ideas? S tier etc. I can't quite figure out what's good or not. I know that one skill with Loki is good, the vipers I think.

There are so few that it would only take the average gamer a day to whip up a list. Since it is early access most players have no care at this stage. Feel free to test them all out but they will change and hopefully the game will be fleshed out more.
Check out myscreenshots posted for IMO best build for seeress she is the best IMO enjoy any feedback is welcome

I would call Loki's Vipers skill S tier. Every time I pick that skill, it is able to easily do over 100,000 worth of damage. Most other skills don't come close to this.

S tier are Viper as already pointed out above, all around MVP. Second Autocast is the 1-point wonder Local Ragnarok, then finally Sentinel, nothing comes close to its single target DPS.

After that the next tier over is Freya with Divine, Golden Disks and Valkyrie Descent and probably Ball Lighting but it's easy to forget this last one exist.

Of course Classes have their own tier list, that's just for the gods.

There are factors involved beyond a generic 'what is best' queue.

  • Random damage at a small splotch somewhere on the screen is not valuable. It's luck.
  • High damage projecting in a line or a zone at random locations, even if coming from your epicenter of the screen is not valuable in general..it's luck. ie: Odin's birds or Freya's Valkyries are just silly. Those types of skills do generally give you a "zone" to run to for defensive protection, but I don't like this play-style.
  • Thor's Sentinel is mediocre 'till Evolve. After which it pretty much kills something every .0X of a second, with an epicenter at your character, killing things closest-then-outwards. However it's not the highest damage overall. It is however godly at killing mini-bosses and bosses. The end boss will be seconds, not 10's of seconds.
  • Freya's Divine Wave is not the strongest, but it has knockback, is epicentered from your character, and is full AOE. It always by default protects you from the highest threats (closest things), and not something on the periphery. I don't play without it (evolved)
  • Loki's Vipers Evolved are visually overwhelming and it becomes difficult to see projectiles coming at you. Prepare to fall over when you think you're the boss.
  • Odin's Ragnarok is cool...but the cooldown is insane, and it plays into timing luck factors. Therefore I don't use it.
  • Many skills behave radically differently between their normal and evolved state.

If the cooldown is zero to 4seconds, and/or the % chance to trigger is solid (15%+ on a regularly triggered event), and the damage is epicentered from the character: I'm all-in.

Given the way the game works, with enemies constantly be placed back near you, there's not really much of a timer issue. Every X second most of the arena is obliterated. 3 out of 4 classes also have cooldown resets, although the flame sister's is pretty weak. It's also just 1 point, which saves you 3 level up for something else.
