Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel

Flame Sister or Frustrated Sister
Please buff this character. Or reduce the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of Muspelheim Insane. It's not even skill issue at this point. I have tried the cookie cutter meta builds that worked for the other 3 characters but just won't for FS. Evasion is almost non existent when you reach 10 minutes and below. I tried all 3 weapon types, 3 subclasses, mix and match god powers but for some reason FS has no luck stat. I'm still trying to brute force it but for the nth time I think it's time to give her some love.

Muspelheim Insane clear count:
Berserker - 1st try
Seeress - 2 tries
Revenant - 2 tries
Flame Sister - 10+ tries and going.

I got a bug where I died last second to the Hard Heat quest. The quest is over when I click on revive but the fire storm lingers and mini flying units are still present.

Yeah she is underpowered hard.

Same for me. No problem with other chars, but no chance with FS.
All the characters and powers are weak, but Berserker. The first pubilc demo was more fun than this. game went from easy to challenging to beatable, to now challenging and next to impossible to beat. Also upgrades and powers seems less powerful now. I'm honestly falling asleep when playing this game lol.

Flame sister is just terrible, idk about this game anymore. uninstalling for now.

Came here with the same experience. Class skills need buffed and flame sister is most disappointing to me because i dig the aesthetic. Just like all the characters . Also wish there were more to unlock. Early access wishes.
I just consider her to be +extra hard mode at this point.

Melee character with weak damage, no range, bad skills? Experts only, I guess. (Which isn't me.)
The difficulty of this game has changed and character powers seems weaker and rewards from leveling up seems slower now. I can hardly beat easy difficulty anymore, i gave up. I remember when i use to beat easy and normal the gold, etc you get was double and unlocking stuff was much easier.

Damage noticeably rockets after the Heat challenge - mob spawn appears to roughly double and the heat balls randomly appear after the challenge is complete. It becomes vastly harder to kill the cannon due to mob and thorn density, and FS dps feels like it drops precipitously. Kinda ironic that a Flame cultist gets ruined by the fire level
I've also cleared Musp Insane with all classes except FS, which struggles with Hard

Thank you for addressing our concerns! We are loving the game and want it to become a better version of itself. Right now it's fun playing the other 3 characters but FS falls short. Muspelheim Insane difficulty is kinda insane below the 10 minute mark. Too many mages, thorns and flying units that we are not able to touch the cannons. I don't want to rely too much on Local Ragnarok on clearing the field, it's become a permanent god power in slot: _, _, LR.

Let the players feel a sense of becoming godlike towards the end, that their choices actually have consequences and feel rewarded for playing in their own way. As a fan of vampire survivor-like games I wish you the best! For Valhalla :ironfist: :isa:

Shes fun to play as a fast meele assassin but at midgame you feel weaker and weaker against the hordes.

Flame sister is only viable hard or lower. Insane flame sister needs to high roll double levels early and often to have a chance and pull freyas exp as well... Cause lets be honest insane difficulty is just survive until level 20 and get evolves unless your using a meme build which doesn't work on flame sister lmao.
Maybe I'm wrong, but her +20 evasion doesn't work. There is something that she has to have or do to have that buff?

I've noticed this as well. I took the subclass with the cloud that adds evasion and when you press ESC to check the statistics you see the additional +20% evasion when inside the cloud. Without the cloud my base evasion is 30% with the weapon that adds +10% evasion. The dash mentions the +20 evasion, but when you dash then press esc to check the statistics nothing is added to your base evasion. Either way FS is still on the tightrope. Tried her just now after the patch, prepare to clench hard for you wont survive 10 minutes below Muspelheim Insane.

Yeah there is no way around it, she is absolute trash. I've tried all pf her sub-classes and none of them are any good.

All of her daggers do pitiful amounts of damage and their range is so bad.
Blazing Soul is mediocre at best and not very reliable.
Burn by default ticks at 0.5s intervals which is way too short.
And as others have pointed out, evasion doesn't seem to be working correctly.

I've beaten hard with all the other characters and Fumbling Sister is the only one that I struggle hard with.

Suggestions:

Buff her attack speed by say +50%.

Maybe make her basic attacks have a 20% to apply burn.
Either increase the burn ticks to say 2s intervals or leave as it is but have more sources of burn so it is easier to get higher burn stacks.

Evasion needs to be fixed. Also, there needs to more skills that's centred around evasion for those that want some kind of evasion build. For example, everytime FS evades an attack her crit chance and crit damage goes up by 5% (up to say maximum 50%) for three 5 seconds.
Maybe this could be new skill called something like Blur:
Duration - 4 seconds
Evasion - 10/20/30/?
Crit chance - 10/20/30/?
Cooldown - 10 seconds

Maybe the fourth rank can turn blur into a risk and reward skill where her evasion is increased by 50 and her crit damage is doubled, but she takes double damage.

That's all I've got so far. Flaming Sister has a lot of potential but she is not there yet by a long stretch.
