treasure hunt start

im having issues getting the treasure hunt mission to start. I dont recall getting the message even though ive completed all the requirements. Any ideas what to do other then keep looking around brennan's?

visited 127 sectors, played for well over 10 minutes, started with current steam version so no patching.

just finished another round and no stations in a 3 sector radius around brennan's have a book icon.

You have to get that starting message. You don't get int around Brenners, either, you get it in an Argon or Boron sector.

thanks for the reply. I've spent tons of time in argon/boron space, i was thinking i missed the message. I'll leave a ship at Argon Prime with SETA on overnight and see if it works. Thanks again

Nope, nothing. Quest is not intiating. once again, all conditions have been met. hanging in boron or argon space isnt getting me a message, and no book icon in the three sectors around Brennan's. Do I need a save editor? How can I fix or is my game just screwed?

Got lucky. Icon popped up in Farhnam's when I went to run through the pirate sectors again.
