Escort Scabbard to Venus

So I escorted the Scabbard then but in the mission breffing I get speak to <invalid> when I dock to the oribatial station and speak to Benthami I get no options to carry on the mission. When I undock the scabbard is back flying about then I wait for it dock and when it does, I go back to the station to talk to Benthami and get nothing, then I undock and the scabbard is back flying about, any ideas on how to fix this if not game is being uninstalled

You need to do exactly what your mission briefing reads....or you won't complete the mission...or go back to another save before you accepted the mission.

Or...get out of your sandbox and throw sand at the creator...

You don't have to dock for that mission, but it shouldn't really have any effect on the outcome of the mission. But the end of this mission is also a little weird.

Open up the tab that shows your missions. What does the one for the Terran plot say? Does it still tell you to follow the Scabbard or does it tell you to await new orders? Also, were you given an Advanced Discoverer that should be flying randomly around Venus?
If it tells you to follow the Scabbard, load an old save. If it tells you to await new orders and you've got the Disco, head down to Heretic's End because after 5-10 minutes you'll be told to get a new job from Jackson there.

I have escorted the terran scabbard to the USC orbital supply base in venus and after that on my mission briefing it says Talk to: <invalid> and my mission marker wants me to do dock at the station nerby. When I dock/undock from the station or leave and re-enter the sector, the scabbard is back flying about and this keeps happening every time i dock/undock or leave and enter the sector. I did wait about an hour to get new orders but nothing
