Exactly...the journey is the reward imho.
Doesn't hurt to read a few guides beforehand since the learning curve is rather steep in this one.
(And knowing what the Hub plot requires you to do beforehand is worth a lot.)
As for cheating, there are so many ways available...
In-Game exploits like OOS Nividium Mining or cherrypicking 4 Star Fighting Marines at the Hub.
The ScriptEditor with which you can basically do anything. (As long as one does not mind the modified tag and being locked out of Achievements.)
Using AutoHotKey to write yourself a script to deactivate and reactivate SETA every 5 minutes and let the game run overnight to boost your Trade Rank (and push both your CPU and energy bill hard.)
And for the cheesiest of Achievement Hunters there is always CheatEngine, allowing you to manipulate your money, wares, freight space, ship speed, you name it and all without getting a modified tag.
But yeah, I bet the game is much fun with an M5 at 750 km/h and a cargo volume of 15 Million to unload the whole HUB materials in one go...
After Clicking on this Link, I Went to the Web Site, and read the Text, and saw the Videoe on Adding Money to the Character.
When I get into the "Script Editor" I look for the Script "Money Script", I do not see that Script on the List. Many Names on there are Cryptic Names, but none of them even Looks like it reffers to Money...?
Most people push bulk energy cells thinking they'll make money that way (a big NOOO), and accidentally raise economic rank (that they never take advantage of) and a very small amount of rep (which they should max out asap). The game will be max grind if you play that way.
You don't need money, you need the _not_ money. Money is the reward for doing that.
From what I have read thus far, That is Not What this Thread is Asking about.....
1 Make sure you type Thereshallbewings correctly its case sensitive now that you have changed your name you should be able to access the script editor Make damn sure you have watched a few utube vids and know what you are doing if you mess it up you will have big problems good luck
The vanilla mods I have loaded which allow for capital ship docking at my HUBs, reduce the size of the Aldrin asteroid and tubeless HUBs don't give an unfair advantage - and anyway the game stays vanilla so fine! Once DiD is completed (just managed for only the 3rd time two weeks ago) and I can save games as normal then YES I use the All Seeing Eye to locate certain wares and ships - still vanilla after reloading!
"Still vanilla" is the creed to live by - ask my wife after 24 years of marriage!
