Quick start guide for new and old players.
Hi first off i tried to make a guide in steam but its more work than i can handle so just posting it here.

A small starter guide for starting off.

Any start with a M5 scout and Argon Prime starting location is best for this although other races would work just takes a bit more time, I use the anonamous argon. Humble Merchant may be better since once you finish this you should have enough for a sector trader.

First thing is make your way north from Argon prime you want to end up in Kingdom End or Menelaus's Frontier. If you end up at Kingdom End head east until you get to Menelaus's Frontier. At Menelaus's Frontier lies your first goody a toucan hauler will not give the location but derelict ships for x3tc is a common google search. once you calim this just have it sitting Idle and head 2 sectors east. Teladi Gain here you want to find the south gate to Seizwell, once found fly through, and on the other side you should be able to spot the ship yard off in the distance, just target it, and fly back north. With this done tell your toucan to dock at Seizwell shipyard and continue east.

Family Whi has another goody just claim it and tell it to dock at Seizwell Shipyard and continue 1 sector east and go through north gate, for your next goody in The Vault. Once you claim the harrier be sure to have it drop the trade extension before you tell it to goto the shipyard and slowly just fly into the cargo box to pick it up, Once these ships arrive just sell them at the shipyard.

Once you have all 3 derelict ships, dock at the Equipment dock at The Vault and upgrade your M5 for cargo, speed, and rudder. also mineral scanner, duplex scanner, and explorer software. Once you have all the upgrades you want fly to Seizwell and start heading south until you get to Company Pride. from company pride go east and south to haktivah's faith then east 2 sectors to Akeela's Beacon. There is a Buster here claim it and have it go to the trade port for engine, rudder, and cargo upgrades while you scout for the south gate in Akeela's

Enter Legends Home and fine the Otas Shipyard and Otas HQ these are important later, once found head back out and meet up with your Buster may take a while with SETA. once you get it upgrade i recommend switching ships you have to do 3 or 4 Argon missions to get your rank up. Also your Discoverer or M5 should now be your automated sector mapper and roid scanner (explorer command software, and mineral scanner needed.)

Finally after grinding up your rank go back to Legends Home and buythe Zephyr a very good small carrier which will be extremely handy sell your Buster, and be sure to equip the Zephyr with docking computer, jump drive and triplex scanner all of these unlock at the same rank. Once bought and equipped revisit some equipment docks and buy more equipment and stock it full of E-Cells then head south from Aldanah Hill 3 sectors then east 2 sectors to CEO's doubt. Head south 1 sector to Loom.... Legacy in here off to the west is a Mamba claim it and dock it in your Zephyr, Upgrade it when you are able this will be your combat ship(until you get better ones) while your Zephy will basically be your command ship.

Now just enjoy being a pirate or privateer, manually mapping sectors with your discoverer. you should have enough to buy a cheap freighter and necessary equipment for a Sector Trader,

I recommend this path of game play due to Legends Home always being my hive until i get the player hub, because you can buy the jump drives and equip them on useless ships, dock the useless ships on your Zephyr and deliver the jump drives to wherever you need them. I use Split Caiman SF XL's so a long way for them travel easier to take them the gear.

Also for newer players the best area to level up ST's (Sector Traders) to UT's (Universe Traders) i found to be Empires Edge. Southish from Argon Prime

The best guide folks is no guide at all. That's why they call it to seek out an EXPLORE strange new worlds. If you know where everything is and what everything does what use is playing the game? There's no awe in the discoveries when you use a guide. Throw your guides away for all games and learn what AVENTURE and EXPLORING really are. :))

Feel free to make a guide here if you feel you have something you can help new players with.
