I was SETA-ring like crazy for several days waiting for it to appear at the Aldrin equipment dock but it never did.
Mousoyama says the factory producing it in Aldrin is at 101km, 12.7km, 98.1km... but in my game, its not anyware, presumably god removed. But i did manage to grab 2 of them earlier on in the game and recently used the shipyard buy ship trick to duplicate them
As for this being a "game design error" ... 2 completely different people having the exact same problem in as many days... your #@$%$ right it is a game design error!
Extended use of SETA was most likely the reason why that station was removed ... you know: even small sins get punished.
Instead I would suggest going back to a save where you have yet to visit Aldrin for the first time. Go then to the coord's 100, 10, 100 asap and dock one of your ships at the eEMPC-forge to block GOD from deleting that station afterwards.
In a game where I lost that station 'myself' I was just killing a random Springblossom and that dropped some eEMPC's - so I could use the 'bulk buy'-duping or the 'freight drone cloning' for multiplying...
(Else you can use the All-Seeing-Eye-script[roguey.co.uk] to localize that station or ships equipped with eEMPC's)
"Extended use of SETA was most likely the reason why that station was removed ... you know: even small sins get punished."
Nope, i had mapped the sector long before i did that. And before that i never once used SETA AFK, So, what i am being 'punished' for is being unlucky.
Haven't played TC for 10+ years but I remember this particular frustration. :P Good luck.
You're not wrong - unfortunately the station itself wasn't there - it's one of the stations that gets 'removed' from the game every so often. The most notable example of this is actually in AP - the Recon Drone station in Queen's Harbour - which is a PITA since it's really useful for a good Dead is Dead start - but even just 20 minutes into the game it can just disappear!!!
