Cheat Package?

Hi guys. I had the disc version of X3 TC and downloaded a cheat package for the game. Thing is, my new laptop does not have a disc drive, and am now thinking I should get X3 TC through Steam. Does the Steam version have cheat packages or anything like that? The one I had that was downloaded enabled things like "god mode", full map/universe, ability to create ships, etc. Any thoughts and help is greatly appreciated :)

To my knowledge, any mods (or cheat packages) that work for the non-Steam versions work for the Steam version as well. The only caveat I think of is that some of them just require you get the standalone X3 exe from the egosoft website to use.

Does Crow's Cheat Package work with Steam X3 Albion Prelude and Steam X3 Reunion as well? Thoughts appreciated :)

How would I get the standalone x3 exe?

You have to register the game on the Egosoft website, which means making an account on their forums[forum.egosoft.com], and it should be available for download in the download section[www.egosoft.com].

However, I can't seem to find one for X3 TC, only X3 AP.

I have no idea. The only cheat package I've used is one for Rebirth.

as long as you also have the required libraries Cycrows Cheat Package does not differ between Retail and Steam Version... there is not even a need to get the non-steam exe

Thanks for the info. I tried the Cheat Package in Reunion, but game crashes when it gets to loading screen when starting a new game. Am not sure what is causing this...

Cycrow works with dependencies as stated by eMynock. Dont have them, expect weird behavior and possibly crashes.

The cheats package doesn't work for Reunion, as it relies on alot of stuff added for TC.

there is however a reunion cheats package created by LV

For the Cheat Package created by LV, what do I look for in the Steam Workshop? Also, what all does the package have?

i just downloaded the x3 plugin manager and load my mods in there. i dont know why you would need god mode but you can download any mod that will give you that there.

X3 mods dont tend to be in the workshop, as theres no workshop support. Instead, goto the Egosoft forums. Tehre is a sticky in modding forums that contains links to most mods
