Barrel roll with xbox 360 controller?

How do I execute a barrel roll movement? Can't seem to find it under controller settings. To be more specific, it's the movement triggered by q and e on the default keyboard controls.

Technically that's an aileron roll... :) Just around the longitudinal axis, if all you're doing is Q or E.

My thoughts exactly. I've come from playing Elite and the controls on this game baffle me somewhat...

its in the main control settings somewhere,not the xbox controller configuration settings..ive changed my left stick to steer and right stick to roll on horizontal axis and strafe up and down on vertical axis...works well for me.

This issue can be summed up less as an developer oversight and more that the 360 controller simply doesn't have enought buttons to do everything the game demands of it, you can see similar problems in game such as Metro 2033 (and nearly every RTS released for console) where the bumpers/ L1+R1 have been given to the role of key combination (meaning you press L1 and Triangle to put on your gas mask), problem not encountered on a keyboard.
