Tip: don't bother playing on ironman until you're used to the game. Achievements are meaningless, really.
No, the performance impact of saving the game is not the same in every game, and isn't desirable here. A youtuber hit the same thing, in the yogcivilization channel. Turned of Iron Man mode because "of course! Why not?",then irritated by the very frequent gameplay interruptions.
This is ust getting on my nerves.
Saving every 6 or 12 months would be ok (like CK2) but every month.....
Then you can totally disable autosaving if needed. Or set it to annual/semiannual
those wanna cheat would still find a way to cheat
yeah off course or you download something els that enabled all archivements but he i do not care it just a way to play the game. And a little harder to get things done for archivement. And thats the way it needs to be. In every game.
