How do you spend civic points?
I clicked on the alert that said I have unspent civic points and it opened up the government tab. I don't know where to go from here to spend civic points, how do I do it?

You have to click Reform Government and choose the new civics (and possibly replace older ones)

Also, you can't just drop pictures here. You have to upload them to an image sharing site or to steam itself.

On government tab use the reform government button, you'll be able to use your civic point to add a civic there.

Why can't I just drag and drop photos?

Internet browsers (including this one) do not work that way, unless specially designed to include that feature.

Right, some websites like wetransfer for example, meant specifically for file sharing will have the functionality of drag-dropping to upload the file, but steam doesn't have that, you have to manually upload it and then share the link (which takes less than a minute when you know the steps).

Why doesn't steam have drag and drop?

Same reason that steam categories & tags are a joke, and workshop search is a barely-functional mess. Anything that doesn't impact sales is something the folks who make decisions don't care about.

I mean if its game related you could just make a screenshot, upload it to the steam cloud and post it directly.

Tags are a joke because they let people decide it instead of forcing tags via (actual, not ''fan'') curators or dev side. And also because they made the silly mistake of not seperating low quality or indie titles into a seperate store front. Without literal thousands of $1 titles to skim through, it wouldnt be a problem to find things even with the current tags in place.

That said, Steam ui for searching sucks. And its blue font with white text sucks. It make it very unique, but also much less comfortable or easier to read or skim.

But drag and drop isnt really something useful here. Vast majority of screenshots posted here should be related to the game, and for that steams screenshot stuff is enough.

But there is a limit to how much data photo data you can store on steam; if you post a photo stored on steam and then delete it from the storage does it still stay up wherever you posted it?

What? A limit? There are people with tens of thousands of uploaded screenshots.

From 7 years ago. I moved my screenshot folder a while ago so none of my screenshots prior to about a year ago will show up in the steam library (since it doesnt link to them anymore), but everything uploaded stays uploaded.

Ofcourse I also never deleted anything from the online storage. Why? There's a lot of space available. Certainly enough to hold hundreds of screenshots without issue. Even at low compression rates, that would still be less then a GB in data. (which is nothing these days)
