Also, you can't just drop pictures here. You have to upload them to an image sharing site or to steam itself.
Internet browsers (including this one) do not work that way, unless specially designed to include that feature.
Same reason that steam categories & tags are a joke, and workshop search is a barely-functional mess. Anything that doesn't impact sales is something the folks who make decisions don't care about.
Tags are a joke because they let people decide it instead of forcing tags via (actual, not ''fan'') curators or dev side. And also because they made the silly mistake of not seperating low quality or indie titles into a seperate store front. Without literal thousands of $1 titles to skim through, it wouldnt be a problem to find things even with the current tags in place.
That said, Steam ui for searching sucks. And its blue font with white text sucks. It make it very unique, but also much less comfortable or easier to read or skim.
But drag and drop isnt really something useful here. Vast majority of screenshots posted here should be related to the game, and for that steams screenshot stuff is enough.
From 7 years ago. I moved my screenshot folder a while ago so none of my screenshots prior to about a year ago will show up in the steam library (since it doesnt link to them anymore), but everything uploaded stays uploaded.
Ofcourse I also never deleted anything from the online storage. Why? There's a lot of space available. Certainly enough to hold hundreds of screenshots without issue. Even at low compression rates, that would still be less then a GB in data. (which is nothing these days)
