How do I remove brain slugs
I got the brain slug event. Got up to the part where the scientist attached it to himself, but afterwards I put a stop to it. But my leaders are still spawning with brain slugs.
My pop template has no brain slug trait. I even modified the entire species and I still get brain slug leaders. This is extremely annoying.

Brainslug trait gives only positives to leaders, why would you want to remove them?!

Sure they do, but what would it take to permanently remove them lol

I'd offer to take them from you, if it was possible.
..that event is way too rare.

Because it's xeno slime. And who would want that.

Considering you modded your entire race and it still is showing up. I can think of 2 situations:

1) The pop with the trait appears even though you changed your entire race to not have it, could be from a pop that was growing somewhere. I am not sure if this is possible .... Perhaps someone else can verify it from their experience.

2) The trait is coded into your population (coded modifier) and you are not able to get rid it. Unless you remove the entire race, but that seems rather ... unproductive given its your starter race.

Thanks. Time to panic as the upper echelons of my space dwarf civilization are now apparently addicted to organic alien brain enhancements that lowers fertility

By removing the head or destroying the brain.

You need to become Cybernetic. Or just fire the infected, they should make 20% of your leader pool.

We should make having a brain slug illegal with penalty of death.

The event that modifies leaders isn't related to population. As soon as you finish the event chain, your empire gets the country_flag "finished_brainslug_chain" and your leaders have 20% chance to get the trait.

Going cybernetic is the only way to completely get rid of them.

Thanks. Guess I'll put a stop to it before scientists experiment with suspicious xeno slugs on themselves next time.
Also this singleplayer run is cursed

Speaking of rare events, wouldnt mind getting the contingency for once either.
Still havent seen it. Its the unbidden 90% of the time, and scourge the other 10%.

I have had Contingency 3 or 4 times now, with about 10-15 Prethoryn Scourge.
Unbidden still leading with about a 100+...
