Its on Cadet. Then why do I get Annilated
I don't get it. all this work gone destroyed. I didnt attack anyone left everyone alone. then these guardians decided they didnt like my colonizing a planet that had no claim on. so they come and destroy me all of me. WTF this was on Cadet settings. I can imagine what it is on other settings. This isnt fun at all.

Certain ancient civs have rules, you encountered the isolationists, don't colonize stuff directly connected to them. Look up the fallen empires or whatnots to see what triggers their wrath

Probably settled on a designated gaia holy world. Never ever settle on a holy world unless you can take on the guardians. Or get their permission by finding the head of Zaquan.

If you look at said planet it'll say it's a Holy World or something akin and tell you a fallen empire is claiming it, also going to mention the difficulty levels in an RTS only determines how many bonus resources the AI gets. The game does warn you about lots of things, not an in your face warning though, it's not going to hold your hand like that.

Been there mate... but it was the Spiritualists, was too prideful thinking I would win when I used my World Cracker on one of their holy worlds. Didn't realize they would awaken and start mass producing ships and bumrushed my surrounding colonies.

We've all been there. Ha.

Don't mess with fallen empires, just because the game is set on easier settings doesn't mean you can just do whatever you want and get away with it but in this case did you really not notice the holy world modifier on the world you were trying to colonize?

They warn you too. At least the last time I scanned and claimed a system with a holy world on it, they made a point to tell me dont settle there.

Its just crap. why have settings of cadet when you still can get totally destroyed. in lightening fast time. all my training and research i did for ships etc. and i just got melted . within 10 min they attacked all my territories and annihilated me. Screw this, takes the taste of this game right out of your mouth.

fallen empire will not destroy you, but just punish you, so you can rebuild

Maybe read a little before playing?
https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Game_settings#Difficulty

Basically you pissed off the one Ai that can spawn 250k strength fleets quickly using FE tech. And not just woke them you made them target you.
There was no chance the moment you settled the planet. Take it as a learning experience and try again. FE's are not to be trifled with in early games.

If this makes you rage quit, then this is not the game for you. Expect to be rolled quite a few times before you get gud.

Own up to making a poor decision and move along. Don't blame the game for that.

Cadet isn't sandbox mode.

Fallen empires are not your competition like the regular empires are early game, or even mid-game. They're a hazard to avoid, just like the leviathans (dreadnaught, dimensional horror, ect).

Again, Cadet isn't sandbox mode. it's easy mode, yes, but not sandbox. There's still hazards in the galaxy you have to compete with.

No surrender option as in humiliation?

You had two separate warnings about a holy world colonisation

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2476429796

and

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2476429812

If you went ahead and chose to ignore both, you asked for it.

Well, I got again into the game after a long time, and tried to colonize a Gaia planet protected by a FE, as I had forgotten about it.

I got a warning, and decided to abandon the planet I just settled.

You got the same warning and decided to disregard it, didn't you?
