Automatic building mines and research stations by sector
Hello, there used to be an option to automatically build mines and research stations by sectors, but now I don't see it, is there an equivalent to that?

It's still there. Planets and Sectors (Hotkey: F4) -> Sector Settings -> Make sure to turn the auto build on.

wrong once it was possible to allocate a construction vessel to a sector, and he himself built mines and stations

That stopped being a thing when sectors that governed themselves stopped being a thing.

Once sector stockpiles stopped being a thing, sector construction ships also stopped being a thing. I think it was 2.0, but it could have been earlier.

Actually it was even better, the sector handled building the construction ship(s) as well. You just checked the box to allow space construction in the sector settings and it literally did everything.

Definitely wasn't earlier as it's in 1.9, may have been 2.0 may have been later.

You should be building them as you expand, and the AI will have built the ones you conquered.

Why? Stations can't be accidentally destroyed, and AI doesn't target them.

These mods can do what you're looking for:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=691008512

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2093969313

The second one is slightly cheaty in that it doesn't require construction ships, but idk if the first one is up to date

there is a still an autobuild, it just sucks.
Teflon Tom Jun 17, 2021 @ 11:10am
I was using autobuild on my planets but I turned it off. The problem is that the planets will still autobuild . . even though I DOUBLE turned it off on every planet. This has been occurring since the ♥♥♥♥ upgrade. Anyone else noticed it?

Edit: Just great. Stellaris can call itself the ♥♥♥♥ upgrade but we cannot refer to it that way.

Check your sectors and planets window and disable the sector management.

It gives something to do if your billion other tabs in a game have nothing to do. That is it keeps you thinking throughout the game.

On that regard the developers likely wanted to have players using less auto buildy stuff when the option was around.
