Who are the moderators here and why are they locking every even slightly controversial post?
NO OFFENSE INTENDED TO THE MODS PLS DON'T BAN ME. But i think you guys should do a better job of interacting with the community if you are exclusive to stellaris. If not then please just be more open about why posts are locked. I don't mean any offense and the mods are free to close that at their discretion. Although it will just prove my point farther.

Because every possible controversy has been discussed dozens of times over the years and they inevitably end up in flame wars.

This. I've no idea why there was such a revival of 2 year old topics. Maybe someone missed seeing the "date of last post".
