Instead it requires a far more powerful CPU. The 5600x and 5800x are in stock these days (and intel CPUs are always in stock) which does make it more accessible then having to buy a new GPU, so that is a fair point. Imagine being able to buy a GPU.
Then again, the average person can probably get a better experience (in terms of performance) in Humankind then in Stellaris even if they have worse hardware, but who knows. With the game not yet released that's just a guess at this point.
That is a good question. Honestly I dont have high hopes for that given how bad AI in 4x tend to be. As others have mentioned by now tho, the AI in Stellaris is very poor at using features. Doing better then Stellaris in that respect wouldnt even be hard.

Its real time though?????
Most other games nowadays are either one-shot playthroughs (like RDR2), or complete disappointments. Other major long-term producers like Bethesda went insane and turned their games into microtransaction machines, only available on their own network client.
And with all the other mis-buys of the past 5 years or so, i've actually lost confidence that producers outside of Paradox are still able to produce strategy / roleplay games which i won't uninstall after 2 hours.
So in that sense:
