Planets with magnets on them just made me quit this game
I have over 1000 hours played(thats a lot for me). I have all the content related DLC's. You just lost a customer with the relatively new addition of planets with magnets on them.

First op 2 computers where ganging up on me and i was doing my best to defend against htem and trying to make defensive pact with other empires. What happened then was they both went to war with me at the same time while having send the ravagers on me and you know what? I defended against them.

What happened then for about the next 100 years in the game is the most ridiculous waste of time ♥♥♥♥♥ ass AI abusement i've ever seen in a game. The one computer set his army of about 1/3 my fleet to attack my empire from behind. And as we all know it now takes 2 hours of real life time between each planet jump because the stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ships have to fly through a system before they can magicly jump to the next(this is beyond stupid).

After getting my army half way there to defend while having neutralized the other computer i one of them made a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ magnet in a planet that had my army having to go all the way around for 10+ jumps basicly costing me more then half my empire. AFTER doing this one of the computers asked for the kind of peace that gives you everything you have conquered from them so far and i thought great, only 1 left. What happened though was that apparently this led to the entire war stopping(with both empires) and me loosing over half my area.

TLDR:
Magnets on planets that magicly cant be shot down by an army thats literally bigger then the planet by far is stupid as ♥♥♥♥.

Its also STUPID how long it takes to move your fleet around now. And the stuff that actually makes this bearable is super lategame.

I'm quitting and i'm never buying ♥♥♥♥ from you again.

♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥

You have read up how the system works right?
That's a FTL inhibtiator , and can be researched, and then will be equiped on Stations and Planets with a Fortress/Secruity Zone/Whatever you call it.

What it does: Enemy ships entering the system çan only leave via the hyperlane they came through.

How do you remove them: Use your fleet to crush the stations and land an army on the planet to disable and flip the Inhibiator to your side.
Simple as that!

Now if your fleets are traveling around without armies then you will likely have a bad time with them. You always want to have them nearby when at war.

As far as Ship speed goez, it's pretty terrible. Simply add a faster ship mod to fix it.

I didn't know that I was in one war against two enemies, rather than two wars, and so agreed to give away half of my empire... I blame magnets.

"Relatively new" - almost 4 months. Relative to the entire game's life, then I suppose so.

I'm confused as to how they made an inhibitor in a planet your "army" was in...
Also, instead of going around, maybe it could have been faster to bomb the fortress....

btw seperate peace-treaties with members of enemy alliances were NEVER a thing in Stellaris since the release-version.

I actually thing slow ship movement benefits the player. Reason being your often up against multiple AI federations. Which means 7+ fleets moving around. If they were any faster it would be almost impossible to cut them off. Unlike them you can be smart enough to make an all Corvette fleet that can zip around to reinforce a station.

By army i meant fleet. My fleet was more then twice the size of the entire planet yet that 1 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ building opn the planet made sure my fleet had to spend 2 real life hours getting to where i was attacked.

Ruined the game with some of the new updates.

Yeah, big empires are pain. I kinda like that though.

I strongly recommend creating some vassals on the fringes of your empire to help guard against such things. Really helps.

so bomb or invade the planet? learn to adapt to the way the game is now, not keep trying to zerg the capitol the way you used to. you need to fight for objectives now, a lot of times you can quickly win a war if you're just taking a chunk

The ships are in no way to scale.

And even on the largest galaxy at normal speed it wouldnt take 2 hours real time so enough of the hyperbole please.

maybe indulge yourself on patch notes to see the 2.0 changes.
Use the Faster Space Travel mod

the slower movement speed across the galaxy map is an advantage for the human player. early game it's only a small advantage (position fleet on border and grab half their systems before their fleet even arrives in the warzone), but in late game it becomes ridiculous once you have wormholes, gateways and jump drives unlocked. player arrives on the other end of the galaxy within weeks and wreaks havoc while dumb AI fleets slowly creep the lanes network and arrive years later when it's too late to turn the tide.
