So the scavenger bot can travel apparently.
It somehow teleported from one of the enclosed systems within my borders, to one of the systems on my outer border.

And its only 20 years into the game. ♥♥♥♥.

bro my scavenger bot just spawned 38 years into the game, i say spawned bc it randomly appeared in one of my systems with a class M star and is now proceeding to roffle stomp through my entire empire idk what to do

its unironically beelining it for my capital, ive only got enough alloys for a 5k fleet and from my observation it has a single high damage weapon so idk heres to a quick death game cos ive got some stingy lithoid empire next door who would love to take advantage of this

*why is this even happeneing*

edit: it skirted my capital and is proceeding to cut me off from the rest of my empire ( i started as a birch world in the core )

I have a bad feeling an ai used the crisis beacon spy operation on you.

Now I do not know if this can only happen with mods or if can also do base game. The only way I think this could get cancelled is if you used the mission on an enemy empire.

that would make sense but as edited it has skirted my capital and just seems to be trying to annoy me. ill try and persevere until im able to use that against an AI empire and hope it makes it go away, and yeah its probably my mods but thx cos i just bought nemesis the other day and didnt know that existed

this is the wackiest playthrough ive ever had i figured out it was hunting one of my construction ships no matter where it went and planned to lure it into a dead end system hoping it would go inactive upon killing the poor boy

little do i expect a 140K FALLEN EMPIRE FLEET decides that it needs to take a dump and that scavenger bot is a prime dumping ground so they came out their borders as it was passing to kill it, which i think is normal anyway but still

most wacky 50 year start ive had.

also the sun is shooting lazar beams at the bot now that its engaged in combat with the fallen empire fleet, which i dont think is typical sun behaviour

The scrap bot likely got too close to the fallen empire, I'm sure their programmed to do so if stuff gets too close. Either that its like an event of sorts from a mod.

best way to deal with these if you get them far too early, figure out what it has for defenses, shield amounts, armor, etc.

design a fleet that can exploit its weaknesses as much as possible.

build as many of those fleet types as you can going far past your fleet limit.

spend them on it till it is dead.

not easy to do pending on your empire type and bonuses, but its possible.

That specific bit sounds like a visual bug (which they were supposed to have fixed in a previous patch) where sometimes the weapons of a fleet seem to be comnig from the sun not the fleet. So it shouldn't be having an actual effect on game mechanics, just weird visuals.

No idea about the rest, my scavenger bot has never moved (nor other leviathans bar the stellar wisp thing that is meant to)

Sounds like a mod issue. The scavenger bot has a unique system that it should not ever leave.

I can use grammar and punctuation pretty well and fast, but why should I when I'm relaxed and having fun, you could obviously read it right?

Current mods I'm using are mostly visual with any non visual ones being NSC2, giga engineering, real space+living star systems and planatery diversity, the rest are ship core mods plus an up to date At war carrier mod. Along with plentiful traditions and its required mods but that shouldn't have any affect on how stuff on the map operates.

I spent four hours playtesting to ensure mods didn't crash on me or break anything after having the complete colours mod hard crash my game on load, and having my mod order cause some visual bugs with starbases and fleets. So I did playtest for a while to ensure no problems popped up mid game and I'm pretty stumped as to what could of caused that scavenger bot to have it out for my construction ship early game. Although I'll update if I end up finding the mod combo or load order that broke it. (Along with whatever made the sun shoot lasers but the only weapon graphical mods I have is amazing space battles )

Afaik, the "projectiles coming from the center of the galaxy" issue is usually an issue with the model where the weapon is attached - not caused by weapon mods, but rather outdated ship models and such.
