How to build a Death Star?
I learned how to make Titans and some energy beam weapons but I haven't seen an option to make a Death Star. Galactic Council hasn't voted against them so am I missing some tech? If so is there a way to see my Tech tree and find out how to get it? Happy planet demolition my organic friends. -mechanical clinking noises-

To get Colossus tech, you need to take the "Colossus Project" ascension perk. That gives you a special project, which when finished gives you the tech to build them, and one type of colossus weapon. Depending on your ethics you may get a choice as to which weapon you develop first. Other weapons may later be researched as tech.

With some restrictions. Neutron sweep will never appear as a research option for spiritualist empires, and only spiritualist empires can research the divine enforcer. Pacifists can only research global pacifier. Driven Assimilators gain access to a unique weapon, the nanobot diffuser, that assimilates all pops on the target planet.

Very useful good information. Thank you kindly for sharing that. I appreciate it. Have a great weekend.

Side note: total war CB applies for empires that follow unrestricted wars policy.

You can also get a system killer if you become the crisis and advance to the final tier, useful if you dont care about the system and need more dark matter. As for the CB the AIs get on you for getting a colossus, dont worry about it, ive never seen it be a problem. If the AI is going to attack you, it generally wont be because of the colossus.

I'm not worried about AI anymore. Watched some vids and got good tips. Had 4-5 empires come at me at once and mopped the mall up. Only thing they did was give me more resources and planets. Now I'm maxed out on resources and nothing to spend it on. -shrug-

now install gigastructures and truly make the galaxy tremble as you detonate a star to turn it into a neutron star, so you can build a forge around the star whilst stripmining the now-dead planets into nothing, all so you can fuel an ever-expansive fleet of flying moons and planets to defend the building of your supermassive blackhole powered ultimate weapon

god i love gigastructures and how absurd it is

Is that a mod I take it?

Gigastructual Engineering is a mod that adds in tons of new mega structures, from early game research boosters, to terraforming, to black hole bombs, to flying planets (and systems) as ships. If you can think of it, its probably been made a thing.
It also adds in a couple new crisis, one that spawns at around mid game, and two that spawn very late into the game. Havent touched the end game ones yet, but the mid game one is a huge pain to deal with if you enable it.

Zoinks that sounds rough.

The crises it adds are much more interesting than the base game ones, too. The mid-game one has the ability to interact with resistance elements on their home planet, and after conquering their home planet you get a rather interesting archaeological site. The second one is actually strong enough to potentially put up resistance against your weaponized planets and solar systems (the normal crisis on 25x is trivialized by even one behemoth planetcraft) and has an incredibly powerful habitat that you have to do lengthy projects to fully utilize. I haven't encountered the last one yet because that was added recently when the mod was updated for 3.1.

+1 to GigaStructures - they have a perk that enables you to rip planets apart to mass manufacture the Attack Moons; a single Death Star is irrelevant next to an armada of Attack Moons.

Like, you really can use Attack Moons as cruisers, Planets as battleships, and solar systems as dreadnoughts.
