Shadow Raiders Planet Mechanic

So, I was studying the origins possibilities e their advantages and disadvantages… When I remembered the Shadow Raiders 3D cartoon and I thought that would be cool an origin or a mechanic that can make you move your home world across the systems like a huge space station/ship.
What do you think about that? Is that just crazy or would be like a cool and different mechanic?

this adds amoung other things the option to make moons and planets into massive super ship with one of its techs.

i belive they also added a solar system ship in the newer version but i havent played around with it
