Not every path should be treaded by a young race, sometimes you need to majure to be able to face the horrors that are out there !
But now you know and can open it later :)
A warning would've been nice since this is my first game on the update
They are beatable with midgame tech if you metagame. But being forced to metagame kinda defeats the point of RPing...
A 15k fleet with good starbase support set up right is about all you are likely to need. Maybe less. If you have end game fleets its overkill.
Or 30-50k. Not everyone play on easy :)
P.S. Try to claim Terminal Egress at day0 after opening L-gates. Extremly bloody fight.
