Tempest. How to kill?
At first it was challanging, now it's just annoying. I've been fighting this war for almost 100 years now.

I've pushed them back to the very last system in the L-Sector, but nanite worlds keep spwaning 30k fleets. They've obliterated half of the galaxy, everyone else's relative power is pathetic. I have a 35k fleet I have to engage them 1 by 1, repair and rebuild for ages and use hit & run.

How do you get rid of this annyoance? I read that theres a factory in the L-Sector you need to destroy, but there's nothing. I've surveyed everything and all I found was a terraforming candidate.

The only way I see to get rid of them is to build a colossus and just blow up every nanatie world. Everythings ready for my colossus, I just need the resouces, which all go in sustainging my fleet.

Indeed there should be a factory in the L-Cluster, be warry that sometimes you have to turn around the camera because a star is hiding behind another.
If there is none, you might want to report this to the devs.

Happens so often in the L Cluster, it's almost a feature.

The L-cluster is basically pandoras box, do not open until you are ready for a crisis-level threat.

Right, because everyone should be prepaired to fight a crisis at every star system they come across. (Sounds like a good way to start a war...)

They spawn ~1-2 nanite fleets at a time, then they wait about 1 year before they spawn another 1. Basically you need a self sufficient fleet that autorepairs. IE: pure battleships with shield regen + hull regen modules. (in your case being 100 year war you probably have titan tech so 1 of those aswell)

Once the fleets are dropped in the adjacent system (that you are blockading) charge in immediately (dont go home to repair!) and hit the station to prevent them spawning.

There is 1 slightly stronger fleet in the system, so you may well need to attack it a couple of times if your fleet is pretty average, so focus on disengage buffs allowing you to do as much damage ot them and take as little losses as possible.

Chip away at it and you will win. Also if you are blockading them, then build starbases in the lgate systems itself. Then you wont need to go as far to repair if you choose, allowing for a faster assault.

My fleet is at about 45k now, since I started spamming Destroyers and vetts. I camp the exit gate from the L-Cluster, so I can kill them before the spread out again like cancer.

It's always 2-3 fleets at a time, but with 3 titans and lots of destoryers with Neutron launchers it's no problem.

The dumbest thing is: You can't crack the nanite planets. You can't use any collossus weapon on them. Sure, neutron sweep wouldn't do a thing vs nanites, but why the f*ck can't I blow that annyoance away?

I've found the factory, I missed an entire system in the L-Cluster because it is literally ontop of another systen. With hit and run and restreat at soon as possible and a short rebuild time, I can bleed them out.

But seriously, this is going on for 150 years now. I didn't even have battleship tech when it started.

Could be worse... your vastly superior fleet could get wiped out because... well who knows why this game allows that to happen? I just keep thinking that they did a poor job! Yet people have not noticed this....

what year is it? because 45k fleet is really small to go against end game stuff.

about 2450. And yes, fallen empires are becoming equivalent now. Otherwise I'd have nothing to do, because half of the galaxy is uninhabited because of the tempest.

Tech and economy wise the game seems to have become easier with 2.2. Even before the Tempest I was out teching and out producing almost everyone. I play wide have like 18 planets, I'm way over the admin cap, but I go through researches and traditions faster than before 2.2. 60 months for a tradition. All I do is build a monument and a Holo-Theatre on every planet and one with lots of Holo-Theatres. One planet dedicated to only rescearch.

I play with scaling difficulty.
