i wanted to see how far i can get trying as many different things as possible playing stellaris and then multiply the difficuly along the way with the various settings. just learning to be diverse and understanding all the while making it as hard as possible on myself by not going down the traditional path.
i tend to learn things a lot better when something is in front of me that is a real challenge i can bite into figuratively writing, and very long term strategy play with restricted resources with multiple hard target objectives is something i find most appealing.
thanks to the details in this thread, i might start a new race with tomb world habitation and something other than the obvious, this way it can't be quickly bypassed and forces you to think how to overcome it in a less linear way.
Post-Apocalyptic doesn’t give you Tomb habitability, it guves you Survivor. Tomb habitability is even better than survivor, and you can only get it by taking Cyber path with a tomb homeworld.
it grants survivor which grants 70% tomb world habitability. in otherwords you get tomb world habitability.
Nope, Tomb World habitability is a separate habitability trait, which gives 80% I believe.
And what are you trying to prove? Look at the traits page. You will see Survivor is different from Tomb World habitability.
Since you made that point yourself, i got nothing else to discuss until you read it. moving on.
They removed random gen adaptation event? It can give you tomb habitability previously.
Self-Modification I suppose can give you it, had not thought of that.
(it actually gives a weaker start though) ((4 less food + likely weaker other tiles)) and it's a permament civic that you can't replace.. so.. really.. in the long run it isn't worth it for most empires since you're likely better off with something that helps all your planets, and eventually you'll be able to use tomb worlds using other means like terraforming or adabting.
However it doesn't, so nothing to worry about there.
The nice part of it is that it works with Spiritualist, so, it's good for them if they want to use tomb worlds.. though really terraforming is the best answer unless you're really straining for planets early game.
Terraforming everything into Gaia ^^

I tend to see empires as my direct ideological opposite as my nearest neighbours though... :\
