Funniest thing you've seen so far in game?
So in my longest running save , I run an empire which stretches from one end of the galaxy to another. I have almost all researchable techs and navies with fleet strengths in the low million range. Almost all of the ai minus a few civs joined up in a federation to try to stop me. One of the smaller civs sent an insult to me and was promptly kicked out of its federation from the other ai. Ive never seen this happen and thought it was pretty funny.

Witnessing a Xenophobic fallen empire awakening and reducing itself into a Pre-FTL civilization.
Removed all their stations, borders, and fleets. yet retained Ancient fallen empire buildings.

It was amazing and hilarious at the same time.

I had a game, where I conquered a good junk of the galaxy but never really got into the quest line about the ancient lost empires. It was the one about the confederation or whatever. After longer breaks, I got messages, that something odd was found on a world, next to my star solar system. After a few years, it was clear, that planet was the homeworld of every species, that was part in that galacitc confederation. The game basically triggered all the world events on a single planet for me. Probably, because I was trapped in my corner for a very long time and the other empires explored the galaxy before I was able to.

Edit: It was about the first league, I think.

this is kinda weird but even I cant belive it
-2300+
-spiritualist AE vs Xenofobe AE
-2 leagues of non-aligned empires fighting eachother
-prethoryn scourge
-enigmatic observers FE (of my custom created empire)
between the other 2 not giving an F
-me, fanatic purifier, on the other side of galaxy, drowning in keks whilst crushing a small empire

Accepting refugees before supporting a xeno faction and then enslaving them.

I have a 9 planet system in my current play called "Covfefe" which is a made up or mispelled word in one of Trumps tweets in 2017... anyway, I thought it was funny.

The system was completely worthless - no habitable planets, no resources, so when I unlocked Voidborne I stood up 9 habitats in it.

Probably defeating 2 awakened empires as rogue servitors. They weren't joking when they said "all conceivable needs".
One of my scientists becoming immortal after a short trip to unbidden's dimension was pretty interesting too.

Nexus scientist lying about a longevity drug a la Harry Mudd.

Edit: And no we didn't catch that bastard!

A Determined Exterminator declares war on three FEs and wins.

They weren't even awakened.

I had created a race of scientist spiders, and sent a team to observe some primitives

some time later i get a message that the head scientist had gone to the planet without authorization, introduced himself to the primitives....and proclaimed himself their god

i just stared at my screen and started laughing

Early on, I was trying a Theocracy and had several factions fighting for political control. One of them was Militant and the other Pacifist scientists. Had a minor Xenophobic race declare war on me and I won it a year or two later.

A month after the armistace was signed, the Pacifists faction literally took over the Militant one (pop of 10 each one month, the next month one was 20 and the other gone). Never saw aggressive Pacifists before.

I'm not sure, but I think I once saw a Stellarite Devourer and the Dimensional Horror fighting.

Most recent game said I owned 28/65 habitable planets, or 43%.

Immediately after I check that victory condition, computer gets a 60% Federation win. I guess rounding is good enough. :p
