Im not gunna lie. But everytime I look at my stellar empires during late game, i get somewhat irritated because theres a massive grey and empty spot in the galaxy.
The center of the galaxy.
Nothing in it. Nothing can pass through it.

Its boring, surely the center of the galaxy has room for the imaginative to fill.
I recall homeworld 2 putting a “God” battleship in the center

I Have thought about it for awhile and I came up with 2 main ideas: --Either it hides a highly advanced awakaned empire, so that it shows they were in hiding all along and have sprung to conquer the galaxy. -- Or my personal faviorate a collection of sytems all made up of abandoned megastructure where if you claim at least half of them it gives you a distinct long term bonus(I'm unsure what) as well as looking cool as the centre of the galaxy. Just thought xD

This, and it's basically a portal that let's you play on two maps at once. You might be winning on your main galaxy you started but get wiped by a federation in the other one.

A black hole isn't a worm hole and even if It warps space enough to make a worm hole the tidal forces are going to rip anything near it into base elements well before you reach the event horizon
