Minor artifacts?
I'm finding it hard to figure out where I can find how many of these I actually have?

On the traditions window there's a relics tab at the bottom.

Intest on 200 star with no empire and excavate every possible excavation.

I got around less than 100.

Its a finite resource.

Mostly a garbage.

It can give 10% research point for 60 months at cost of 5 minor artifact.

Remember you can get this by excavation. And its finite.

And the excavation are spread across galaxy.

Good luck finding 40 minor artifact in single gameplay with a lot of ai.

You have to play wide for this, or having allies Starbase.

There's an artifact i found that generates 30 minor artifacts every 3600 days I think it was. I had to beat a great dragon. And my that i mean I turned on the invincibility cheat. Anyway, it's not finite once you get that artifact.

Is it me or a glitch, but I don't see anything to do with artifacts on the relics page. I have a bunch, and nowhere to sell... I'd post a SS of the tab, if stupid Steam would let me. Thanks!

Minor artifacts can be sold for instant cash, instant unity, an over time unity bonus, or reverse engineered for various bonuses. For 50 of them you can perform a special action with a precursor homeworld, some of which are quite nice.

For the reverse engineering bonuses, they can actually be really nice. It often gives a lump sum of science points or a small reaserch bonus, but it can also give a single use of a fallen empire building, which can be say, 250 energy per month for free. If you have access to the rubricator, you are going to want to hit that button on cooldown.

The “military/peaceful applications” buffs are minor 10% boosts to some factor, and aren’t really worth it.

Usually if you don’t have a renewable source of them, you want to try and get 50 for that precursor project, since its the most reliable long term payoff.

Also, while most of them come from archeology, there are a few events and such that can give you small amounts, so while you don’t gain much over the course of the game, you do usually get enough to reach 50 eventually.

You *might* be able to use artifacts toward boosts for your empire. For me, It's hard to know where vanilla ends and the mods begin, since I tend to use a few mods.

If you have troubles to get precursor anomaly, you can invest some minor artifacts. Furthermore, upgrading Mega Art Installation megastructure to the highest level requires 100 minor artifacts.
