Machine Modification Points Bug
Am I the only one here who is experiencing a total lack of gaining Machine Modification Points (both when researching tech that should grant such Trait Points, but also when adopting certain Traditions that grant them as well)?
Because I recently began a new game and when i got the template-unlock, i did not get any additional Trait Points, and when i researched Binary Motivators the tech was blank in text and i did not gain anything when i finished researching it.
I do not have any mods that change or add Techs to the Tech Tree.

No, I'm having this issue too. Still trying to find a way to fix it. Are you playing without mods or with mods?

well it's gone now. i think it was a mod conflict and after i removed all mods and re-installed i got no problems anymore.

I'm on 1.8.0 right now. I think I have it figured out which mod is causing the conflict. Not sure as of yet.

I'm not sure, but I think it is the mod Additional Traditions that is causing the error on my end. Trying it now.

I had the conflict happen with additional human or synth portraits.

Yep, that was it. Don't get Additional Traditions. It was causing the problem. Plentiful traditions doesn't cause any problems though.

I didn't have any such issues with Additional Traditions. I was also using Plentiful Traditions at the same time with a merge mod though.

There are problems with certain portraits though, like the Elves of Stellaris mod portraits don't get any trait points from any sources because they weren't updated correctly.

Thanks for that information. I think I forgot to turn on the Merged Traditions Mod that could fix my problem. Let me try it and see what happens.

I got traight points, but I didn't get any traight picks.... so I coud'nt use the traight points at the beginning.
I had to unlock them via ascendency perk.
