Naga extreme run, what the hell?
How even? Like seriously on chapter 5 I have to face 3 OP robots with one health on the Naga run. This is the one of the major things holding me back for the extreme difficulty achievment, anyone pass this? tips please

It's hardly impossible, you just have to know their tells. The rocks are the hardest part, and you can spam fireballs through those.

In general:
* Learn to alternate swipes for rapid damage.
* Try to save fireballs for the rocks and button mash until you've made it through. It doesn't last longer than the fire charge. You might be able to sneak by with airbending and earth jump, but I haven't tested that.
* Learn their tells and react accordingly. If you can get Platinum on any other difficulty, then you should be able to do it here.
* Always keep that water shield up, just in case. The best run is one where you never need it, though.

I used that as a "panic button" if I ran out of fire during the rock section. I think you need to use Air, then Earth and the jump can get you past several rocks (but you could end up smashing into a rock when you land). To be honest, I'm not sure if I agree with saving fire for the rocks. Personally I had more luck spamming fire as much as possible to take down the mechs as fast as possible. The longer this section lasts the more rock sections, so the more chances that you'll mess up.

This section may seem impossible at first but once I completed it, it only took me a few tries to clear it on a second run. It's really only the rocks that should be a problem. Anything else is relatively easy to deal with (especially because of the water shield).

The rocks were the easiest part for me .I never once got hit by one . I had more trouble trying to figure out whether the robot was going to spin or attack with his right arm . After I figured that out it was a cake walk .

Yes, this level was easy on normal. I could do it on my first try, but on extreme its like hell. I had to practice 45-50 minutes to beat a 2 min long level.

The only difficulty is the rock part. If you react to the rocks directly you have a little chance to finish the level, unless you have a very good reflexes, but the game very often doesnt care what you push, so fail every time.

morbosfist, tells you a lot of good advice, except the fireball part: you should save your fire to the robots, to do as much dmg as possible and if you use fire against the rock, sometimes the rock dont explode in time so it will smash you anyway. And with the fire's effect, you wont see the obstacles in front of you...

I recommend that u should watch the robot's animation. If he rise both hands to the air, it will be a long barricade, left arm -> left obstacle or center, right arm -> right rock. One arm, big handmove -> big rock; one arm, small handmove .> small rock. So if you practice this, you will know what will be the next rock even before it appears in the game...

and yeah, keep the water shield up all the time.

This is really a personal preference on my part. Unless I get screwed by two rock sequences in a row, I can always tear through the rocks fast enough, and it's still good enough for Platinum.

Yeah I just finshed the level on extreme, my god it was hard. You have to be near perfect , and pray for a decent rng If you don't plan on wasting your flame on rocks. I didn't think that I was ever going to finsh it .One of the hardest bosses , I've ever done right up there with manus from dark souls.

Don't give up man . I've found that the double speed is more of hassle then its worth , you usually land on boulders. Save your double jump for when the robot sets up more than one ice wall in a row. If you look at the robots , they kick up dust in the direction a boulder is going to spawn . so, plan two steps ahead .

Yeah the achievements seem to be bugged. i never got jill of all trades. I must have missed a tutorial in my first playthrough , and they don't seem to show up on new game plus.

I remember not getting the achievements for completing the game in Extreme mode either, but apparently that was because I didn't play the chapters in the correct order.

It doesn't matter if you don't play them in order, you just have to complete the last chapter again, and the achievement unlocks (I was stucked in that Naga run too).

I already got all the achievements

I finally was able to beat it by just spamming fireballs at them as they started to make the ice pop up and just dodged them whenever they did something else. It was nearly an hour of pain though.

I saved my fire balls for the ice obstacles because there was no way I could not dodge them and I used naga swipes with air bending to kill the robots, it proved really effective.
