Makes me sad! This is Platinum, I was so shocked to see it getting 3's from the likes of Gamespot. Not that I take their opinion seriously anyway.
Well i guess it's quite possible that Gamespot and IGN reviewers are still grumpy over the bayonetta 2 matter and rate future platinum games bad just out of principle and spite
if you like the show, you'll like the game. if you don't know what the show is about, then i guess it'll be ok?
its like 6/10, 7/10 if you like the show. worth 15 bucks if you want a fun thing to pass the time.
I didn't even know about the show until 2 days ago but the game is action and fast paced. It isn't a terrible game and I've seen worst. They knew thier game was mediocre at best and made it 15 dollars. If it was a higher budget game and given more time it would had been a bit more flashy.
Extreme mode itself took me 10 hours because of the deaths and many leveling I had to go through to get stronger to fight some of the foes. some of the parts were insane.
Pro-Bending on Pro difficulty can suck a ♥♥♥♥ though. I have no idea how you're expected to get a platinum medal with your teammates being as dumb as bricks.
I am pretty pleased with the combat system so far, it's solid, fastpaced and moderately challenging. I am playing on normal (1st run) and sometimes I fail, I really like how fast you have to react against some enemey's projectiles and how important is to switch target during the fight.
The game has a Metal Gear RIsing vibe: you can wait for the enemy's attack and parry, delivering an almost fhinish blow, or you can attack freely. Passive or active, QTEs from other benders, the jump attacks, the charged attacks, 4 elements to bend, light platforming sections, "running with the bear" (fun as hell and not to easy at it may seem).
Do yourself a favour: if you are into the combat games, buy this game right now, do not wait for a sale.
