Choices you've made will carry over and have impacts, as will the characters, items, and resources you have in your caravan.
I think you'll have to beat that boss (did you lower the difficulty to Easy?) in order to import to TBS2, as your last "Resume" save-game is generated after that fight in the end of TBS1, before the endgame sequence. Stoic will have to clarify this point though.
Actually I'll need to complete the game twice and backup each of the endgame saves, so I can try playing the second game with each... seperate protagonist, with all my own choices and focused leveling.
Checked your cloud-saves? Or did you play before the patch that enabled this feature?
Its a bit of a hassle but at least this way I can try and optimise the two playthroughs as much as possible I guess.
