thanks in advance!

This Talent increases your hit-chance. This applies only when your STR is considerably lower than eneny ARM.

This Talent is only useful in combination with items that add +DMG (not +STR) to your attack, if in high-EXE/WIL hereos. For example, say you got 8STR and a +3DMG item, and you're attacking a 13ARM enemy: your base hit-chance is 50% and base DMG is only 1. However the item would help you score 1+3=4DMG, but still at 50% hit-chance...
okay, I appreciate it.

It would be nice to see someone back this up, but when I gave it to my axe thrower he started hitting way, WAY more regularly. It wasn't uncommon for him to hit someone with 6 axes at rank 3.

Doesn't it say explicitly in the skill description that the axe thrower's active ability is never modified by other sources?

It hits people if you're lucky.

It does, yes. I can only attest to what seemed to happen in my game.

I just had a play with testing this, because it might be useful to know. I used the training tent with just Folka+Oli to run a series of tests just spamming r2 or r1 axe throw, with or without lucky hit against targets with a variety of armor values (mostly higher than Oli's remaining strength). I did 10 r2 axe throws with lucky hit, 8 r1 axe throws with lucky hit, 10 r2 axe throws without lucky hit and 8 r1 axe throws without lucky hit.

I won't post the full data, but I scored more hits without lucky hit than with lucky hit - 39 total vs 33 total, there was no noticeable benefit between taking the talent or not, so the description appears correct to me.

What was interesting though is that the very first hit only got deflected 3 times, even though it should have been deflected far more often (Oli was injured and only had 5 str, and attacked targets with 6-10 armor 16 times) if armor is affecting hit chance on axe throw as it affects regular attacks.

This is one of the most useless Talents. If you play well, you'll practically never have to attack somebody with ARM higher than your STR. You'll always BRK first and attack later, using all the other cool tricks (traps, manipulating turn-order etc).
yeah, IM def not speccing this talent again.

Armor vs. Strength generally doesn't seem to matter with active abilities. Eagle Eye and Rain of Arrows always do at least 1 Strength.
